DVD1 - INSIDE BOWIE 1969/72: long awaited critical review of the music of David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars during the crucial period from 1969 to 1972 when Bowie rose from obscurity to superstardom. DVD2 INSIDE BOWIE 1972/74: We pick up with the Ziggy Stardust album and review the work of Bowie on Aladdin Sane through the break up of the Spiders, Pin Ups and on to the Diamond Dogs album.; DVD3 A CLASSICAL TRIBUTE: The greatest music in the history of rock like youve never heard it before. It's probably best to let singer and keyboard player John Paul Strauss describe the rationale behind this album. "During the time we were working on the most recent Ten Jinn release, 'Sisyphus', came the very sad news about the passing of David Bowie. At the time (though we were very busy with working on the album and dealing with the upcoming release in 2017) I suggested to the other Ten Jinn members that as soon as 'Sisyphus' was completed, we should record a David Bowie tribute record before preparing for live shows or recording the next Ten Jinn record, 'Worlds (the Four Worlds of the Hopi)'…

The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness was a benefit concert held on Easter Monday, 20 April 1992 at Wembley Stadium in London, England for an audience of 72,000. The concert was produced for television by Ray Burdis, directed by David Mallet and broadcast live on television and radio to 76 countries around the world, with an audience of up to one billion. The concert was a tribute to Queen's lead vocalist, Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS on 24 November 1991…

The French label Barclay Records, with which singer/songwriter Jacques Brel was associated for most of the 1960s and '70s, released a compilation of recordings of his songs in March 2004 that differs significantly from this U.S. edition. The French version of Next Brel has 15 tracks to the American 12, but that doesn't mean simply that three tracks have been deleted. In fact, there are six tracks on the French album not found on the American one: "If We Only Have Love," by Dionne Warwick; "Amsterdam," by Anne Watts; "If You Go Away," by Emiliana Torrini; "Next," by Gavin Friday & the Man Seezer; "The Desperate Ones," by Nina Simone; and "Seasons in the Sun," by Terry Jacks (a number one hit in the U.S.). But there are also three tracks on the American album not contained on the French one: "Les Flamandes," by French chanteuse Barbara; "Ne Me Quitte Pas," by Nina Simone; and "My Death," by Scott Walker. The deletions and substitutions make for less repetition of songs on the American album.
