Bruce Springsteen once said he intended to make an album with words like Bob Dylan that sounded like Phil Spector with vocals like Roy Orbison's, a nifty summary of many, but not all, of his artistic ambitions and a key to his appeal. Unlike any other singer/songwriters saddled with the appellation of "the new Dylan" in the early '70s, Springsteen never hid how he was raised on '60s AM radio. He loved rock & roll, whether it was the initial blast from the '50s or the mini-symphonies from the days before the Beatles or the garage rockers that surfaced in the wake of the British Invasion, and all this could be heard within his wild, wooly collective E Street Band, a group who debuted on his second album, 1973's The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, and who would support him throughout most of his career.

Propelled by the release of Born To Run, the latter months of 1975 saw Bruce Springsteen emerge as a superstar. This 4-disc set commemorates his legendary stands at the Bottom Line and Roxy clubs, which cemented his reputation as the most articulate and exciting songwriter and performer of his generation. Originally broadcast on WNEW-FM, they re presented here with background notes and rare images. Discs 1 and 2 capture the Live At The Bottom Line, August 15th 1975 set. Discs 3 and 4 capture the Live At The Roxy Theater, October 17th 1975 set.

Eager to make his debut solo album distinctly diverse from the music he had recorded with Cream, it featured music which stylistically drew on jazz, folk, classical and rock influences. One session was also notable for the presence of George Harrison. 'Songs For A Tailor' was a chart success in both the UK and the USA and is now rightly regarded as a masterpiece and one of Jack's seminal works. This boxed set edition features the original 1969 album mix (newly remastered from the original master tapes), along with wonderful new stereo and 5.1 Surround sound mixes of the album by Stephen W Tayler (from the original 8-track master tapes) and previously unreleased session out-takes and demos. The set also includes the marvellous 1970 documentary Rope Ladder to the Moon on Blu Ray video for the first time. Originally screened by the BBC, this film features live performances and an insight into Jack's heritage, life and influences.

Nicknamed "The Boss", Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter and rock musician, widely known for his brand of poetic lyrics, his Jersey Shore roots, his distinctive voice, and his lengthy and energetic stage performances. He released his first album in 1973. The backing group that played for him is called The E-Street Band. Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame (Performer) and Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1999.

Tracks is a four-disc box set by Bruce Springsteen, released in 1998 containing 66 songs. This box set mostly consists of never-before-released songs recorded during the sessions for his many albums, but also includes a number of single B-sides, as well as demos and alternate versions of already-released material.
