Deeply rooted in the concept DNA, music has always played a key role in the Buddha-Bar universe. In perfect harmony with the interior design and the restaurant atmosphere, this signature musical style was created in Paris, France, in 1996 by Claude et Ravin. Back then, music was created live: Claude and Ravin mixed electronic sounds with World music tracks – CD, audio tapes, live, everything was good to please our clients with an exotic musical journey.

Recorded in 2019 at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, this world-premiere recording of Buddha Passion by the renowned and multi-award-winning composer Tan Dun, deserves a thorough listen.

In 2006 His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who calls Lama Surya Das the American Lama, said to an American audience, "It is not enough just to meditate and pray, which are always good things to do, but we also must take positive action in this world."

The book deals with Truth as the theme and basis of the doctrine of the Buddha. It explains (i) Truth, Criterion, World and subject of suffering, (2) Truth of the arising of suffering, (3) Truth of the annihilation of suffering, (4) Truth of the path leading to the annihilation of suffering. The author presents the highest knowledge, the supreme reality to which Buddha is awakened, in so cogent a form, free from mythological and mythical clothing that it becomes positively self-evident to the reader.

Music evolves and so does Buddha-Bar. This year marks a turning point in the history of the Buddha-Bar music compilations in all aspects such as music and design. On the musical side, this change is performed by DJ Papa, resident DJ of Buddha-Bar Monte Carlo since the opening in 2010. Donato Papadia aka DJ Papa, with Italian origin, started mixing in 1973 in an atmosphere of rock, soul and funk music. Curious by nature, he moved towards new wave music and naturally evolved towards techno and house music. The arrival of ethnic sounds opened the path towards a new world where he flourished as one of the best DJ.
