"The dictator is coming." The president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, laughs and makes small talk with his colleagues while they wait to greet the heads of state as they arrive for the EU summit in Riga. When the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrives, Juncker raises his hand and says "Hello dictator!"
Immediately afterwards he laughs, pats Orban on the cheek and tries to embrace him. This strange greeting is an apt symbol for the problems the European Union face with regard to the situation in Hungary. One of the leaders of a member state is openly flirting with authoritarian and non-democratic values.

A cameraman and a soundman arrive in Corvo in 2007, the smallest island in the archipelago of the Azores. Right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Corvo is a large rock, 6km high and 4km long, with the crater of a volcano and a single tiny village of 440 people. Gradually, this small filming crew is accepted by the island's population as its new inhabitants, two people to add to a civilization almost 500 years old, whose history is hardly discernible, such is the lack of records and written memories. Shot at a vertiginous pace throughout a few years, self‐produced between arrivals, departures and coming‐backs, It's the Earth not the Moon develops as the logbook of a ship, and turns out as a patchwork of discoveries and experiences, which follow the contemporary life of a civilization isolated in the middle of the sea.

The next episode of the Cities of Love franchise: Rio, Eu Te Amo. Rio, Eu Te Amo will be an anthology: a collective feature film, composed of 11 dynamic short film segments created by 10 visionary directors from across the globe. The story line of each segment of the film focuses on an encounter of love in a different neighborhood of the city, demonstrating the distinctive qualities and character of that location. The film serves to bridge gaps between cultures, educating and entertaining the audience, while celebrating unique and universal expressions of love.
