Cailee Frances

Melly Frances & The Distilled Spirit is a California based Americanan blues, rock and soul band formed in 2012 by vocalist and songwriter Melly Frances. They unveiled their first studio album cleverly titled "The Album" in July 2014 as un-signed artists independent from a record label. Melly Frances and the Distilled Spirit a group built around singer/songwriter Melanie Sponselee (AKA Melly Frances) and her backing band.

Frances lives in New York, but she doesn't really have an apartment. Frances is an apprentice for a dance company, but she's not really a dancer. Frances has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren't really speaking anymore. Frances throws herself headlong into her dreams, even as their possible reality dwindles. Frances wants so much more than she has but lives her life with unaccountable joy and lightness.

Frances Barber, who starred in the first Pet Shop Boys musical Closer to Heaven almost two decades ago, can be seen in a new solo show by the musical duo beginning August 5 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

A 1957 session of traditional music recorded in anticipation that folk music would be the next big trend. Frances Faye is accompanied by brass and strings arranged by Russ Garcia and a band that includes Maynard Ferguson and Don Fagerquist on trumpets, Frank Rosolino on trombone and Mel Lewis on drums.
