Cailee Frances

A 1957 session of traditional music recorded in anticipation that folk music would be the next big trend. Frances Faye is accompanied by brass and strings arranged by Russ Garcia and a band that includes Maynard Ferguson and Don Fagerquist on trumpets, Frank Rosolino on trombone and Mel Lewis on drums.

One of Lady France Balfour’s eulogists noted that she would be considered one of Scotland’s greatest women, but today, few know who she was or what she did for British women. Joan B Huffman’s biography is an effort to set the record straight and tell the first complete and accurate story of this remarkable woman.

In the summer of 2020, Irish musician Aoife Nessa Frances moved to the west of Ireland to begin working on the songs that would become her second album, Protector. A lifelong Dublin resident, Frances found solace being removed from city life. But perhaps more importantly, like many people in their late twenties who have finally shaken off youthful rebelliousness, Frances also experienced a solidification of familial ties like never before, and felt the formation of a protective, impenetrable shell.

She was young, very beautiful, and had everything to live for—but the life of Frances Shea, briefly married to Reggie Kray, remains one of the most tragic stories of the Swinging Sixties.

Featuring eight exceptional original tunes and two unique covers, recorded with some of Australia’s finest musicians. Frances’ second studio album ‘Beautiful World’ has just been released by ABC Music, distributed by in Australia and New Zealand by Universal Music.
