The Snow Goose is the third studio album by the band Camel, released in 1975. The critical success of "The White Rider" suite (based on J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and appearing on the band's previous 1974 album, Mirage), inspired the group to write more novel-inspired conceptual suites. "The Snow Goose" was inspired by the short story of the same title, written by Paul Gallico in 1941.

Contemporary keyboard-led rock from ex-Camel member, with guest appearance from Mick Fleetwood. When played on Highend system, you will be surprised at the dynamic range and clarity - "Spirit of the Water" is a good example where whispering voice by Talluah (Pete's daughter) is heard. This version "Spirit of the Water" sung by Pete and Talluah is the best version after comparing Camel Original, Andy Latimer, Mirage and Pete Burdern's Mirage.

Peter Bardens (19 June 1944 – 22 January 2002) was an English keyboardist and a founder member of the British progressive rock group Camel. He played keyboards, sang, and wrote songs with Andrew Latimer. During his career, Bardens worked alongside Rod Stewart, Mick Fleetwood and Van Morrison, and recorded solo albums. The Answer was his chance to step out of the shadows, and while his skills as a keyboardist were formidable, his songwriting just wasn't up to carrying an interesting album of his own.
