Mystical chants between the visible and the invisible: The great ancient mystery chants of Spain and Norway. Ensemble Hirundo Maris presents the enigmatic chants of the Middle Ages, Spain's El cant de la Sibil.la and Norway's Draumkvedet. Both convey profound, apocalyptic visions of the world's end and the dawn of a new era, traditionally sung on Christmas night. This album evokes the mysteries of winter, blurring the boundaries to the otherworld, transporting the listener to mystical realms.

“You Can’t Kill Us” is the third studio album by American rock band Icon For Hire. Icon For Hire hosted a kick starter campaign which received over $120,000 in backings despite a $2,016 goal. Rewards included three songs being released every three months. The female fronted rock act has built a bulletproof reputation in their years of creating stellar, hard hitting songs. “You Can’t Kill Us” is the title track from the band album and if this is any indication, the collection will be a force to be reckoned with.

This fascinating programme attempts to depict an imaginary coming together of pilgrims from various countries on their way to celebrate Christmas Mass at the Catalan monastery of Montserrat, one of the strongest bastions of Christianity in the middle ages. During the Matins on Christmas day a boy dressed up as the Sybil blindfoldedly sang the famous verses from pagan times predicting the coming of Christ and the end of the world (this practice was later forbidden by the Council of Trent).

Following up the highly acclaimed sophomore album ‘Fulìsche’, Italian folk metallers KANSEIL have inked a new record deal with ROCKSHOTS RECORDS for the release of their first acoustic EP: ‘Cant Del Corlo’ (Chant of the Spinning Wheel). The record is a concept album inspired by the four seasons, a perennial cycle that escapes human control. The spinning wheel (‘Corlo’) becomes the eternal wheel that makes us mortal. Four epic songs with extra atmospheric intro and outro allow the listener to dive into the mood of the seasons, becoming inevitably part of the endless flow of time. Even if the acoustic mood has always been pervading KANSEIL’s creations, they wanted to dare a step further by releasing a record without any electric instrument.

A candid and charming collection of songs that glisten as beautifully as a clear mountain stream. Singer/songwriter/poet Tom Rush had a wonderful idea in mind for a concept album, working with music business greats Arthur Gorson and Paul Harris to blend the best of the time period's songwriters…

The opening chords of "Finding My Way" signal the beginning of a song, album, and career that would have a permanent place in rock history. The debut album from the Canadian progressive metal outfit features drummer John Rutsey who, although a talented drummer, would quit after this album to be replaced by Neal Peart. Peart contributed to the band's songwriting progression and use of time changes.

Over four-plus decades, Canadian power trio Rush (bassist/keyboardist/vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and drummer Neil Peart) emerged as one of rock's most celebrated and enduring bands. Rush garnered a large and devoted fan following among hard rock, heavy metal, and prog audiences almost from the beginning. They sold over 40 million records and were nominated for seven Grammys between 1981-2010; they also netted 25 gold and/or platinum albums, and all but three entered the upper half of the Top 200. After 1981's chart-topping Moving Pictures, they began a seven-year period where their recorded sound was dominated by Lee's synth playing that culminated on 1989's Presto. During the '90s, they shifted toward a hooky and radio-friendly brand of hard rock, best exemplified by 1996's Test for Echo. During their final period, they delivered studio offerings that fused heavy and prog in new ways.
