The CD offers a chronological succession of canons, composed by 27 different Authors.
Of particular interest, the contemporary compositions of Luis Miguel Aguilar, David Manzanares Viles, Jacques Paroissien, Hans Schoutens, Melquíades Vasconcelos and Rieks Veenker, here proposed in the version for flute choir with accompaniment, in first ever recording for DaVinci Classic as the result of a close cooperation between Authors and Flöten am Bass in the search for a performance as close as possible to the Composer’s idea.As for the remaining tracks, with the exception of 16 -26 – 27, which are presented in the original version, these are transcriptions of the original with adaptation for Flöten am Bass by Maria Teresa Carlevato and Gian Paolo Guercio.
