Belgian independent label De:tuned celebrates 15 years with an expansive series of new releases throughout 2024. Founded in 2009 by Ruben Boons and Bert Hermans, De:tuned and British influential electronic music pioneers The Future Sound Of London team up to mark the beginning of its momentous 15th anniversary. The inimitable Future Sound Of London grace De:tuned with ‘Pulse Five’, the 5th installment and follow-up to the classic Pulse EP series. ‘Pulse Five’ contains 8 tracks of previously unreleased DAT tape material from the early 90s. These unheard vintage recordings date back to the era of FSOL’s much sought after classic singles and highly acclaimed Accelerator album. Brace yourself for visionary techno-driven rave work under their iconic aliases such as Mental Cube, Indo Tribe, Yage and a rare Smart Systems track. This is the sheer brilliance of the iconic duo in full effectt.

The Later Years is a box set by British rock band Pink Floyd released on 13 December 2019 by Pink Floyd Records. It follows the boxset The Early Years 1965–1972 (2016), and concentrates on Pink Floyd's work under the leadership of David Gilmour after the departure of founding member Roger Waters. The boxset includes the albums A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987), The Division Bell (1994), and The Endless River (2014). It also includes a remixed version of A Momentary Lapse of Reason, with restored contributions by keyboardist Richard Wright and new contributions by drummer Nick Mason, to "restore the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members". Also included is an expanded version of the 1988 live album Delicate Sound of Thunder with additional tracks; a live recording of Pink Floyd's headline performance at the Knebworth 1990 charity concert; a previously unreleased concert film from Pink Floyd's performance in Venice; 5.1 surround sound mixes; and memorabilia.

These songs were taken from an unreleased audio cassette from the master reels "Unmixed Demos", during Black Sabbath`s recording of the Born Again sessions, which took place at "Manor Studios" located within the United Kingdom. The date these demos took place was June 26th, 1983. Limited edition of 300 copies!

For his debut recording, Australian pianist Calvin Abdiel presents three technically complex piano works by three Romantic composers. All works are based on the theme/variation form. For Schumann's fiendishly challenging Etudes symphoniques, Calvin adds his own interpolated sequence of the posthumous variations. The equally demanding Liszt showpiece based around three melodies from Mozart's Don Giovanni, and the recital concludes with the near 'unplayable' Paganini Variations of Brahms, which Clara Schumann referred as the 'Witch's Variations'.

Turn It On Again: The Hits is a greatest hits package originally being released on 25th October 1999 and went on to achieve multi-platinum status in many countries. The album features 18 tracks across 1CD ranging from the Gabriel era classics of I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) and "The Carpet Crawlers" through the early eighties with "Turn It On Again" and "Mama" and on to the massive hits of the mid-eighties to early nineties with "Invisible Touch" and "We Can't Dance".

The success of the 1962 Modern Sounds in Country And Western Music albums paved the way for Charles’ creative freedom as an artist. Throughout the rest of his career, he continued to show his deep affinity for country music. 1965’s Country and Western Meets Rhythm and Blues (aka Together Again) features Ray’s timeless version of the Buck Owens country standard “Together Again.” It also holds the distinction of being the first album Charles recorded in his own RPM International recording studio. While on 1996’s Crying Time album Ray delivers the definitive version of that Owens song and earned Ray the GRAMMY for Best Rhythm & Blues Solo Vocal Performance Male and recognition as Producer of Best Rhythm & Blues Recording by The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. As if that weren’t enough, the album also boasts Charles #1 Billboard smash “Let’s Go Get Stoned.”

But that isn’t all of the good news. Along with two regular guests, the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra, and thus the Rijeka Opera, also received a new house conductor (Kapellmeister), the young, yet already established Valentin Egel. Maestro Egel, winner of the Lovro pl. Matačić Award, recently conducted the concert “From the New World”. On that occasion, the concert audience could see why the world’s music critics have rated him as a conductor of “special strength and rich interpretation,” who delivers music “emotionally, powerfully, vividly,” and can “awaken emotions in the audience.” Maestro Egel will perform on October 3 in celebration of the 135th anniversary of the opening of the Rijeka theatre building, and will conduct a concert performance of Verdi’s Aida.

Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco began to focus on chamber music composition during the late 1920s. From this period comes the String Quartet No. 1 in G major, which offers a countryside panorama with rustic serenades and processional themes reminiscent of a village festival. Returning to a much-changed Italy after the Second World War inevitably generated mixed feelings in the composer - the String Quartet No. 2 in F minor reflects these through dissonance and restlessness, though dancing rhythms sound notes of optimism. His final quartet, No. 3 in F major 'Casa al Dono', is an effortless fantasia, animated and in part ecclesiastical, which was inspired by memories of his homeland and the friendships he had enjoyed.
