As you drive into Liverpool you will see a sign Liverpool 'Home Of The Beatles', which is absolutely true, but the city's contribution to popular music is far greater than that, covering the years before the Beatles, the Beatle years themselves, and more recent times. The Wall of Fame in Mathew Street salutes Liverpool's number 1 hit-makers and there is plenty of space for further additions. The great Italian song, from the classics of the thirties to the masterpieces of Tenco, Endrigo, Modugno, Martino, Trovajoli … all with arrangements entrusted to the skilful pen of the guitarist and arranger Fabio Mariani, who together with the singer Tiziana De Carolis, the bassist Giorgio Rosciglione (the three are also the producers of the project) and the drummer Luca Ingletti (replaced in two songs by the guest Amedeo Ariano) succeeds in "intending to bring out what jazz there is in songs that jazz do not seem" ( Ernesto Assante, in the cover notes). And in addition there is the special participation of Renzo Arbore, which is produced in a historic swing piece by Natalino Otto!
