Pan welcomes back Objekt for Cocoon Crush, his first LP since 2014’s Flatland. Over the past four years Objekt has continued to challenge conventions with his club output (the Objekt #4 single release and the Kern Vol. 3 mix CD for Tresor), while maintaining his reputation as a DJ who deploys impeccable technical finesse in crafting elaborate narratives from a diverse and challenging palette of electronic music. Written between 2014 and 2018 in Berlin and on the road, Cocoon Crush once again sees the producer jettisoning the functional requirements of the dancefloor. Marking a further evolution from the youthful exuberance of Flatland, Cocoon Crush explores a more introspective side, with themes of human interaction resonating throughout the record as it ruminates on a spectrum of complex moods rooted in 4 years of sometimes turbulent personal experience…

Kicking off with vital veterans 100HZ, she wastes no time in getting down to a thumping, jazz-tinged groove. From there, techno pioneers like Luke Slater sit next to d&b don Calibre and Detroit legends like Terrence Dixon. The resulting mix is tight and cohesive, and journeys through acid, jacking drum tracks and driving stuff that never lets up.

"On Cocoon Crash, their follow-up to their breakthrough second album Paradise in Me, K's Choice is determined to showcase their musical diversity. As a result, the album is a bit scattershot, since it runs the gamut from jangling folk-rock to roaring post-grunge. It's all tied together by Sarah Bettens' vocals, but she's more of a chameleon than a strong identity, fitting her talents to the song instead of bending them toward her demands. Consequently, the album can sound like a post-Lilith Fair alt-rock sampler, but it's enjoyable, simply because K's Choice's melodic skills have improved and they're capable of delivering good alt-rock songs, even if they are a little faceless. Even if the band fails to create a distinctive identity for themselves on Cocoon Crash, its craft signals enough of a leap forward to make it a successful third album. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi" (All Music Guide)

Emma Gatrill is a multi-instrumentalist based in Brighton, UK. Her debut, 2012’s Chapter I, was a poignant collection of songs based around her then-latest acquisition - the harp. Subtly accompanied by various members of Brighton’s Willkommen Collective, her intricate harp playing coupled with a unique vocal fragility drew comparisons to Björk and Joni Mitchell as well as her friends and co-conspirators Rachael Dadd and Rozi Plain. By the time the album came out, she’d already played clarinet in Laura Marling’s band on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage, made up part of Broken Social Scene’s horn section on a run of UK dates and toured all over Europe as part of Sons Of Noel And Adrian.

Brought up to the sound of the synthesizer and learning to dance to the beat of electronic drums, the young royal grew up on a strict diet of A-HA, DEPECHE MODE, YAZOO and THE HUMAN LEAGUE, thanks to her dear Queen Mother. She first came to public attention via RED BLOODED WOMEN, a girl group who utilised the template of YAZOO and DEPECHE MODE enough to sound like GIRLS ALOUD produced by Daniel Miller.

Tiger Moth Tales is an English Neo-Prog solo project from multi-instrumentalist Pete JONES. JONES lost his sight at an early age but quickly latched onto music as a huge part of his life. At the age of four, JONES had his first piano and turned his love of music into one of his primary focuses in his school years, participating in school plays, musical festivals and concerts. In 1988, JONES won the junior final of the BBC's Song for Christmas. After school, he formed the pop due 2 TO GO with his friend, singer Emma PAINE. The pair spent the next ten years playing pop covers on the Nottinghamshire circuit and were finalists on the BBC's Star for a Night in 2001 and ITV's The X Factor in 2004. The duo toured in the National Arena X Factor Tour in 2005. In 2013, JONES began work on a concept album detailing the loss of one's childhood. Wanting to separate the new work from his pop career, he adopted the name TIGER MOTH TALES as the name for his progressive rock project. The debut album, "Cocoon" is a Neo gem, with hints of ARENA and FROST* fans of complex music with a modern sound may enjoy this artist.

Cocoon Recordings presents Q the new edition of one of the longest running techno compilation series worldwide! We do not want to start again by mentioning how unbelievable it is that we have reached letter Q already … and we do not even want to imagine how fast we will probably arrive at XYZ, if time continues to fly like this. What brings us to the tracks of the middle section of Q because there is a lot of material with even more power and floor potential waiting for us. Above all is Blitzar by US legend John Tejada. Exactly like the overall vibe of Q this one can’t described as futuristic and certainly not oldskool it is simply timeless!

Field are sound wizard, trumpeter and producer Uwe Haas plus drummer and producer Sven Kacirek. Backed up by jazz double bassist Jo Huth, they perform live in the classic, well-tried trio format. Field’s debut album “Cocoon” skilfully steers listeners through a wide range of electronic music styles. Combining the different influences of the artists who contributed to the sound, this album is truly exciting. Each track has its own style, but all of them tell a very unique story.
