1969 was the year that Alice Cooper released their first album, Pretties For You. It was a strange album for the time, and is still quite strange by today's standards. Amidst gems that really showed what was to come from the group, such as "sing low, sweet cheerio", "fields of regret", and "changing arranging", were strange tidbit ideas of songs clocking in at 2 minutes or less, featuring odd vocal stylings, unexpected and frequent tempo changes and start-stop rhythms. This live album, recorded at the record's release party is a great window into the band's workings at the time. The quality far surpasses that of the much easier to find toronto rock'n'roll revival set from the same time period, and features a much more diverse setlist.

Crazy World is the eleventh studio album by German hard rock band Scorpions, released on 6 November 1990. The album peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 chart for albums in 1991. That same year, the song "Wind of Change" reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and "Send Me an Angel" reached No. 44 on the same chart. Their music had certainly changed since Savage Amusement, sounding a little bit heavier and less glamorous. But even with the metal sound, the songs remain melodic and catchy. The power ballads on the album, "Wind of Change" and "Send Me an Angel," are arguably two of the band's greatest slow numbers, boasting soothing harmony and lyrics. Crazy World remains the Scorpions' finest '90s album and is sure to please its listeners.

SCORPIONS - Wind Of Change (1991 Japanese-only 8-track compilation PICTURE CD album including three live tracks - The Zoo, Big City Nights and Holiday, plus Russian Version of Wind Of Change. "Wind of Change" was the perfect song at the perfect moment for Scorpions - a lighter-waving ballad whose lyrics captured the zeitgeist at a time of immense political upheaval, and became an anthem for the end of the Cold War in the bargain. With estimated sales of 14 million copies sold worldwide, "Wind of Change" is one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Face the Heat is the twelfth studio album released by the German hard rock band Scorpions in 1993. This album marked their status as a sort of political band with the song "Alien Nation", which was about the re-unification of Germany. This album had a contemporary touch to it, as the band were then going with the current trends, before later returning to their original style in Unbreakable in 2004. This is last album to feature drummer Herman Rarebell, and the first with Ralph Rieckermann on bass guitar.

Animal Magnetism is the seventh studio album by German rock band Scorpions, released in 1980. The RIAA certified the record as Gold on 8 March 1984, and Platinum on 28 October 1991. So, Scorpions were cool in the '70s and then popular in the '80s, not that you need anyone to tell you that, but it'll make things much quicker for you when deciding which albums to listen to. Animal Magnetism finds itself wedged fairly uncomfortably between the two talents of the band - those of writing fun, exciting hard rock songs and writing badass proto-metal songs. There's a little bit here for everybody and even the cover strikes a better note than that of Virgin Killer or Lovedrive without losing that dangerous sexual edge the Germans were aiming for.

Blackout is the eighth studio album by German rock band Scorpions, released in 1982 on EMI Records Germany and Mercury Records. After losing his voice during the writing of the album, lead singer Klaus Meine had to undergo surgery on his vocal cords and it was uncertain whether he would be able to record it. Demos of the material were recorded with singer Don Dokken as lead singer; however none of those recordings are featured on the album and Dokken is only credited with and can be heard on backing vocals on the album. The RIAA certified Blackout Gold on 24 June 1982 and Platinum on 8 March 1984.

Recorded at the Village Vanguard in 1961, shortly before Scott LaFaro's death, Waltz for Debby is the second album issued from that historic session, and the final one from that legendary trio that also contained drummer Paul Motian. While the Sunday at the Village Vanguard album focused on material where LaFaro soloed prominently, this is far more a portrait of the trio on those dates. Evans chose the material here, and, possibly, in some unconscious way, revealed on these sessions – and the two following LaFaro's death (Moonbeams and How My Heart Sings!) – a different side of his musical personality that had never been displayed on his earlier solo recordings or during his tenures with Miles Davis and George Russell: Evans was an intensely romantic player, flagrantly emotional, and that is revealed here in spades on tunes such as "My Foolish Heart" and "Detour Ahead."

Return to Forever is the eighteenth studio album by German rock band Scorpions. It was released on February 20, 2015 in Europe and on February 23 in North America. As the opposite usually happens, the brand-new SCORPIONS studio album "Return To Forever" has appeared later in Japan - just three days ago - however worth the wait as it's manufactured on the superior Blu-Spec CD2 format, and apart of including the European deluxe edition 4 bonus, adds 2 exclusive to this release. This "Return To Forever Japanese Blu-Spec CD2" worth the extra pennies. The Digipak is velvet-textured, and you have two exclusive bonus tracks: the kickin' hard rocker "One And One Is Three" very much in the '84 Scorpions vibe (and a crime that it is not included in the regular CD), plus the hooky "Crazy Ride", a melodic rocker in the pure Schenker tradition.
