Live At The Ramblin Man Fair packs an adrenaline-fueled punch as the Headhunters revel in the power of roadhouse rock and blues. From the opening crunch of Big Boss Man to a thunderous take on The Beatles Dont Let Me Down, the energy level is off the charts and the crowd is swept up in one raucous good time. And the fun continues on the studio tracks, as Johnnie and the boys bring out the best in blues chestnuts Rock Me Baby and Hi-Heeled Sneakers, plus a combustible KHH original Rock N Roller.

A gender-flipped answer to country supergroup the Highwaymen, Pistol Annies - Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley use their third album to take aim at tired ex-partners and those parts of themselves they’re ready to cast off. The post-divorce anthem “Got My Name Changed Back” and role-reversal roadhouse jam “Sugar Daddy” show off the trio’s cheek. But when they slow things down, as on the cutting but compassionate “Best Years of My Life” and “When I Was His Wife,” their harmonies and candid lyricism reveal the bruises hiding beneath all that bravado. Interstate Gospel is a new kind of fairy tale, one that turns the false promise of a happy ending into a fresh start.

Pistol Annies, the acclaimed side project of Angaleena Presley, Ashley Monroe and Miranda Lambert, have set November 2nd as the release date for their third album Interstate Gospel. The LP is the follow-up to 2013’s Annie Up, and features songs written by all three artists together, with one exception — the album’s closing track, “This Too Shall Pass,” penned by Monroe and Presley.
