Deacon's work in film and television scoring includes projects for major studios and outlets including Netflix, Disney, AppleTV, PBS, ESPN, and HBO. Deacon's score for Jessica Kingdon's Oscar-nominated documentary Ascension won the Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Score award at the 2022 Cinema Eye Honors. On his new album 'Inventions/Reinventions,' pianist-composer DanTepfer performs each of Bach's beloved 15 Two Part Inventions interleaved in chromatic sequence by 9 of his own free improvisations in the "missing" keys to create a new full, and fully transporting 24-key experience, a 55-minute mix of the timeless and the contemporary. 300 years ago in 1723, Johann Sebastian Bach initially composed his Two Part Inventions as keyboard exercises for his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.

Steely Dan enjoyed a highly successful run of albums in the 70s, but by the release of Gaucho in 1980, Donald Fagan and Walter Becker had dissolved the band to concentrate on solo projects. The early 90s saw the duo working together again and after Becker had played on and produced Fagans Kamakiriad they decided to hit the road as Steely Dan again. This two CD set chronicles the critically acclaimed tour with a prized KLLT-FM broadcast of their performance at the Riverport Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri on September 1, 1993. Professionally remastered original FM broadcast.
