Daniel Pemberton is an Ivor Novello winning and multi-BAFTA nominated composer well known for embracing a wide range of musical mediums – from electronic to orchestral – throughout his work. After more than a decade establishing himself as one of the most inventive and experimental voices in British television – scoring countless Emmy and BAFTA award winning dramas and documentaries such as COMPLICIT, PEEP SHOW, UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS, DESPERATE ROMANTICS, SPACE DIVE, OCCUPATION and HIROSHIMA – Pemberton moved into the world of film with the period supernatural thriller THE AWAKENING (2011).

Although this hit soundtrack was recorded with cheap '70s synthesizers, the simple scores composed by John Carpenter are acclaimed masterpieces. Carpenter sets the mood for his horrific movie with such tracks as "The Shape Stalks," "Laurie's Theme," and, of course, his main theme, which consists of the beating out of a 5-4 rhythm. Metro Boomin created the original soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It was released through Boominati Worldwide and Republic Records on June 2, 2023. It contains guest appearances from Swae Lee, Lil Wayne, Offset, ASAP Rocky, Roisee, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, JID, James Blake, Nav, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Ei8ht, Don Toliver, Wizkid, Beam, Toian, Coi Leray, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, and Nas. The deluxe version of the soundtrack was released three days later, on June 5, 2023. It contains additional songs performed by other artists, consisting of Mora, Dominic Fike, Becky G, Ayra Starr, Shenseea, Myke Towers, Big Boss Vette, Omah Lay, and Pop Money. The album was supported by one single, "Mona Lisa", which was performed by Fike and appears on the deluxe edition, but it was released the same day as the standard edition and the movie.

Slow Horses is a spy thriller television series based on the Slough House series of novels by Mick Herron. The series premiered on Apple TV+ on 1 April 2022. Season two premiered on December 2, 2022. In June 2022, the series was renewed for third and fourth seasons. It has received critical acclaim.

Film, television, and video game music composer Daniel Pemberton got his start in avant-garde and ambient electronic music, influenced as a teenager by statuesque electronic artists such as Jean Michel Jarre, Tomita, and Vangelis. Pemberton began collecting keyboard gear at an early age and wrote a tips column for a video game magazine to earn enough money for increasingly high-end equipment. He also began recording his own compositions, and passed a tape on to Mixmaster Morris at one of his gigs. When word (as well as additional tapes) continued to spread, Pemberton recorded his debut album, Bedroom, which gained release in late 1994 for Pete Namlook's highly collectible Fax Records. The Mixmaster Morris connection also led to work for Coldcut's Ninja Tune label, including a DJ Vadim remix released on the latter's U.S.S.R. Reconstruction LP. Soon after the release of Bedroom, Pemberton moved into composing for television with his first soundtrack, written for a Channel 4 documentary, but his career scoring for television, film, and video games truly took off after the turn of the millennium.
