Spectres From The Old World is the 2020 album by Dark Fortress. This was released by Century Media.

With their debut "Tales from eternal Dusk", the guys from Dark Fortress from Bavarian Landshut have outdone themselves. The 11 songs on their CD line up in their perfection and show the listeners that there are other bands that can do Black Metal like Dissection, Naglfar or Dimmu Borgir of the older school. They do not sound like a cheap copy or copy of this known scene sizes. They convey the very feeling that is supposed to be conveyed with this music. Without commercial and other superfluous peculiarities, "Tales from eternal Dusk" should appeal to everyone who likes rough, yet very melodic Black Metal.

Musically, Dark Fortress were still under heavy influence from 90’s greats such as Emperor, Satyricon, Dissection, and Enslaved at that time, so feel invited to discover a chapter of German black metal history in its ultimate form. This is the third release of black metal outfit Dark Fortress, and the first album of theirs I have heard. Though it usually takes me a listen or so to actually get into a lot of black metal, "Profane Genocidal Creations" hit me immediately, and from the first time I heard it, it went on heavy rotation in my CD player.
