David Fathead Newman Diamond Head

Diamond Head are an English heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge, England. The band is recognised as one of the leading members of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and is acknowledged by later bands like Metallica and Megadeth as an important early influence. Death and Progress is a four full-lenght recording by Diamond Head and it was originally released under reactivated Bronze Records on June 1st 1993. This was Diamond Head's first album since Canterbury, released 10 years earlier. It was mixed by Andrew Scarth, who had previously worked for bands such as Bad Company and Foreigner. The album had a much cleaner and more polished sound than their previous three albums and featured two special guests, Tony Iommi, of Black Sabbath, and Dave Mustaine, of Megadeth, the latter also enlisting the help of his own producer Max Norman.

The Coffin Train is at once fresh and exuberant while also being a stone-cold classic slice of old school heavy metal excellence. Is it packed with the sort of riff-fueled power that founding member (and riff LORD) Brian Tatler led a genre and influenced the odd band or two with? It’s electric for sure…and then some. Formed in 1976 under the riff-rolling leadership of guitarist Brian Tatler, Diamond Head would quickly establish themselves as a vanguard of the exploding New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene. With their genre-defining debut album Lightning To The Nations, Diamond Head became the band who influenced and opened gates for many metal bands.

Diamond Dave is the sixth full-length studio album by David Lee Roth, vocalist of Van Halen. It was recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood, California and released in 2003. It consists mostly of covers of classic rock and blues songs and has an overall laid back bluesy sound. Two of the tracks ("Bad Habits" and a remake of the 1978 Van Halen song "Ice Cream Man") had been recorded in 1996 but were not released at that time.

This album contains all the tracks from Diamond Head's 1982 Borrowed Time, except "Call Me", plus two extra tracks "Dead Reckoning" and "Sucking My Love". The songs off this compilation are much less polished compared to their Borrowed Time versions. Many fans prefer the versions of the songs on this album as many blamed Diamond Head's previous label, MCA, of trying to over commercialize the band.

This is Diamond Head's fourth recording, their second on the MCA label. The album was recorded in 1981 and released in 1982, reaching Number 24 on the UK album chart.

Canterbury is the third album by Diamond Head. This album was originally entitled Making Music (after the first track on the album) but later became Canterbury.
