In contrast to the two previous albums that were more on the heavy side, "Daydream Illusion" is a bit more melancholic and magical, which is also reflected in the vocals that are less aggressive and cleaner on this album. Special attention was paid to catchy melodies and lyrics, and for the first time a ballad made it onto an Thornbridge album.
The concept album tells the story of a boy who tries to save his dream world and its characters from the destruction and violence he is confronted with in his real life in the form of questionable and inhumane 'healing methods' and surgeries in a mental asylum set in the early Victorian era.

The album companion to the critically acclaimed film by Brett Morgen. Features unheard versions, live tracks and mixes created exclusively for the film.

Mariah Carey certainly knows how to construct an album. Positioning herself directly between urban R&B with tracks like "Fantasy," and adult contemporary with songs like "One Sweet Day," a duet with Boyz II Men, Carey appeals to both audiences equally because of the sheer amount of craft and hard work she puts into her albums. Daydream is her best record to date, featuring a consistently strong selection of songs and a remarkably impassioned performance by Carey. A few of the songs are second-rate – particularly the cover of Journey's "Open Arms" – but Daydream demonstrates that Carey continues to perfect her craft and that she has earned her status as an R&B/pop diva.

Back Porch Syndicate Records recording artist Jefferson Grizzard reaches a higher plateau with a new batch of songs, with his January 15, 2016, CD release Daydream of Hope. Grizzard has been on the outskirts of the music scene and now coming into his own by tackling themes of love, loss, social and environmental issues. This is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed CD, Learning To Lie on which Willie Nile co-wrote “When Levon Sings,” paying tribute to legendary drummer Levon Helm of The Band.

The Lovin’ Spoonful were a wonderfully American response to the British Invasion bands of the mid-'60s, mixing folk, blues, and jug band looseness and attitude with a warm and sunny pop sense to produce several radio staples like “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?,” “Younger Girl,” “Daydream,” “Didn’t Want to Have to Do It,” and “You Didn’t Have to Be So Nice,” all of which are contained in this two-disc set, which combines the Spoonful’s 1965 album Do You Believe in Magic with 1966’s Daydream and adds several bonus tracks of alternative takes, demos, and instrumental backing tracks. The end result is a great way to meet this fun, warm, and delightful American band.

Pacific Daydream is the upcoming eleventh studio album by American rock band Weezer, set to be released on October 27, 2017. The album is their second release by Crush Management and will be distributed by Atlantic Records. The lead single, "Feels Like Summer", was released on March 16, 2017.

The band's second LP was very strong; this time, most of the tunes are originals, with the exception of a cover of "Bald Headed Lena." Joe Butler and Yanovsky are featured on some lead vocals, and the album includes two more hits, "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice" and "Didn't Want to Have to Do It."
