Deadly Inheritance 1968

'Inheritance' is the story of Hertwig, a soft-spoken woman struggling with a profound legacy left by a father she never really knew. Monika's father was Amon Göth. Often described as a "monster" and "inhuman," Göth was a prominent Nazi leader and commandant of the Plaszow concentrations camp. He murdered thousands of Jews and other prisoners during the war. When Schindler's List opened in 1993, Monika found Ralph Fiennes's chilling portrayal of her father so disturbing that she left the theater more than once.

Even before she discovers she is pregnant, Christine Kinsey's life is spiraling downward at a fast pace. She uses cocaine with her boyfriend, Gabriel; she has a destructive relationship with her mother and she coasts day-to-day at her job. Tragedy strikes when Christina's daughter, Lynn, is born prematurely, addicted to cocaine, and is taken away from her.

Walter Bergmann did it, as they say. He is a successful, respected middle-aged businessman, married, a daughter. One day he has to travel to a conference on the North Sea island of Sylt. Once there, his life, which is characterized by correctness, conventions and formalities, soon gets out of hand. Sin lurks everywhere - parties, pretty girls and sexual debauchery in the sand. Promptly falling in love with the ever reputable man in a statuesque, blond beauty named Renate, whom he had met on the outbound flight and who could well be his daughter. Bergmann's world now faltered in the face of these temptations.

Findlay's breakthrough film was The Touch of Her Flesh (1967). He directed and starred in this story of a sadistic, misogynist psycho-killer who stalks prostitutes and strippers. The killings are done with imaginative devices such as poison-tipped rose thorns, blowdarts, a crossbow, a scimitar, and a buzzsaw.
The movie became a surprise hit, calling for two sequels, The Curse of Her Flesh and The Kiss of Her Flesh (both 1968). The trilogy, filled with fetishistic scenes of bondage, whipping, torture, and grotesque violence, was unusual for its time and presaged the 1970s slasher horror films to come.
