And the latter apparently couldn't help laughing, so much so that the composer suddenly got scared and strictly banned the publication of his charming work, fearing that his serious works would no longer be taken seriously. In a way, he was proved right: in terms of popularity with young and old alike, no other work by Saint:Saëns can compete with the "Carnival of the Animals".

Things will be jolly good at the Mörbisch Lake Festival in 2017! Homilius is regarded as one of the most significant church composers during the transition between the baroque and classical eras.
