Japanese pianist Keiko Matsui is a gentle person, she grows as an artist to a radiant personality, when she performs live. Tokyo born Keiko Matsui devotes her life to her favorite instrument, the piano. Since her fifth birthday she loves and performs this piece of equipment. Classified as New Age or Smooth Jazz musician, she always expands her work to other genres. Blending Eastern and Western influences she has found her own style presented in numerous solo albums.

If you like Weather Report you'll probably like this music, though purists may say that it's late, missing Pastorius, and perhaps a bit mechanical by this stage (and certainly the medley of their most famous tracks does seem a bit like "they're expecting these so we have to deliver"). The energy and atmosphere are still there, and this a valuable - though very short - document of a unique moment in the history of music.

Sweet Revenge is an amazingly sophisticated album in which Sakamoto sets the distinctive and heart-rending chordal and harmonic ideas of his soundtrack work to trip-hop and neo-bossa-nova beats. The songs are fronted by a succession of guest vocalists who each contribute lyrics which add up to an amazingly coherent whole–a mature meditation on love, longing, conflict, revenge and regret. As usual, Sakamoto was ahead of his time. By spotlighting the deep poetry of J-ME and Latasha Natasha Diggs, this 1994 album anticipated by years the introspective hip-hop diva trend popularized by Lauryn Hill.

"Travesía" is an album of music by prolific composer, producer, and artist Ryuichi Sakamoto curated by five-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. The compilation album features twenty tracks handpicked by Iñárritu, who famously collaborated with Sakamoto on his Best Picture-winning film, The Revenant. Taking it's name from the Spanish term for "journey," Travesía spans nearly four decades of Sakamoto's solo work and scores, with Iñárritu taking listeners on a one-of-a-kind trip through the iconic musician's career Travesía is the result of six months' work by Iñárritu, who listened to over a thousand pieces by Sakamoto in order to curate the album's 20-song tracklist. Focusing primarily on the musician's solo work, Iñárritu deliberately chose some of Sakamoto's lesser-known tracks in an attempt to appeal to both frequent listeners as well as a new generation of fans.

German-japanese sound wizard Naoki Kenji started his career as a keyboard player in Tokio and Osaka. Deeply influenced by the Japanese culture that surrounded him, his interest for electronic music started to grow. And when it have been the big electronica heros such as Yellow Magic Orchestra and Riuchi Sakamoto that inspired him back then, Kenji today may look back on his own long-lasting career as producer, composer, and remixer.
With his first album Tozai from 1999 he already landed a US release, such as few European artists manage. In 2000 Naoki released the album Shogun on Neuton under the pseudonym “JP Juice”, followed in 2001 by the album Electric Bolero on ICM by his project “Planet Lounge” - a style mix of jazz, world percussion and electronics…
