Dino Rubino

Refined and elegant arrangements, interplay and melody at his best for the new album of an emotional and shy artist that put in his music all his care.
Sicilian pianist and trumpet player, made his entrance into the top floors of Italian jazz by winning the 1998 “Premio Internazionale Massimo Urbani” for Best New Talent. He also played in the band of Francesco Cafiso. In 2000 Rubino, at the request of Furio Di Castri, participated in the Young Artists of Europe project which, for a couple of years, saw him give concerts in Turin, Sarajevo, Israel, Stockholm. In 2011 Paolo Fresu called him to record for his label, Tŭk Music, for which he has made most of his albums…

Paolo, Marco and Dino celebrate the myth of Chet Baker with original tunes and some of his favorite standards. "Tempo Di Chet" is also and especially the intimate and delicate soundtrack of a play dedicated to the legendary Chet Baker.

With 850,000 volumes, 120,000 old books and a collection of 7,500 newspapers, the Municipal Library of the Archiginnasio of Bologna is a place steeped in history. It was here, in early 2021, that Paolo Fresu decided to celebrate his own history. For his 60th birthday, the Sardinian trumpet player gathered a handful of relatives for an exceptional concert, obviously without an audience. Together with bandoneonist Daniele di Bonaventura, pianist Dino Rubino, double bassist Marco Bardoscia and the Alborada Quartet, he wandered through various rooms in this magnificent library performing pieces in his own style. A colourful and hybrid jazz, European at heart and always strolling around.

It 'release the first album of ANTONELLA CATANESE, published by JazzyRecord.
Antonella Catanese is a composer of texts (in English and Italian) and the musical part of seven of the nine songs included in the album and to which is added "Nostalgia", a song by pianist-composer Giovanni Mazzarino, and to which song has adapted the text . This disc also wanted to include a tribute to the great Neapolitan singer Pino Daniele, with the song "Alleria".
