When David Bowie's second album appeared in late 1969, he was riding high. His first ever hit single, the super-topical "Space Oddity," had scored on the back of the moon landing that summer, and so distinctive an air did it possess that, for a moment, its maker really did seem capable of soaring as high as Major Tom.

"Changestwobowie" is a compilation album by English rock musician David Bowie, issued in November 1981 by RCA Records. It is a companion volume to the 1976 compilation Changesonebowie, and its title and artwork follow the format of that album. In addition to selected post-1976 singles, the album collected five songs from earlier in Bowie's career that had not appeared on "Changesonebowie", including "Wild Is the Wind" from "Station to Station", which was released as a single to promote the album, along with a newly filmed video for the track. However, the album did not repeat the chart success of the earlier compilation, reaching #24 on the UK Album Chart and #68 in the United States. RCA reissued the album on CD in 1984, but it was soon deleted, along with Bowie's other albums, owing to a conflict between Bowie and RCA.

Two very different sessions are combined on this two-LP set. Trumpeter Lester Bowie and a quintet also including Ari Brown on tenor and soprano, pianist Art Matthews, bassist Fred Williams, and drummer Phillip Wilson, are often used to accompany the soulful and gospel-oriented vocals of Fontella Bass and David Peaston (in addition to taking colorful solos). The 12-minute "For Louie" and a suite that is dominated by an emotional version of "Everything Must Change" are highlights; also memorable is a brief version of Albert Ayler's "Ghosts." The second album is quite a bit different, a set of unaccompanied trumpet solos by Bowie that are often quite humorous.

From Bowie's more recent career this album collection features Outside 1995 (his reunion with Brian Eno), 1997s Earthling and Hours… from 1999. Includes the singles 'Hallo Spaceboy' and 'Little Wonder'. Reissue of three original albums in vinyl replica card sleeves housed in a cardboard case. The 90s was when Bowie embraced industrial, techno, alternative rock, and goth in a big way, finding time to do singles with the likes of Trent Reznor, Dave "Rave" Ogilvie, Charlie Clouser, Photek, Moby, and many others. This set collects Bowie's three late-90s albums (the ones that saw him touring with Nine Inch Nails), starting with Outside (1995) on through Earthling (1997) and finally with Hours (1999). On these you'll find The Heart's Filthy Lesson, I'm Afraid of Americans, Little Wonder, Dead Man Walking, The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell, and more essential Bowie hits.
