Recorded in 1955, originally issued on LP then reissued by the Japanese label Denon in 1995, and now made available on a digitally remastered CD, Mighty Mike was the tenorman's first album as a leader. It's a set that shows a bit of stylistic ambivalence as Cuozzo and the group find themselves moving between bop and mainstream jazz. The cut that best captures the musical philosophy of this group is "Underside," an original by Ronnie Ball. If there is such a thing as polite bop, this track is it. There's nothing frenetic or groundbreaking. Rather, this is relaxed, matter-of-fact approaching cerebral jazz played by more than competent musicians.

The Firebirds are a UK band, founded in 1981[1] by their former frontman John Plummer. The band now consists of three musicians; Jim Plummer, Dan Plummer and Jason Bryant. The band has backed artists such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Campi, Charlie Gracie and Sleepy La Beefe. In 1992, they performed at the official opening of Disneyland Paris, where they were the only British band to perform. The Firebirds also starred in the Memorial concert at the Colston Hall in Bristol to mark 40 years of Eddie Cochran's death in which Jim Plummer played the part of Eddie Cochran's last gig at the Bristol Hippodrome.

„Another Time: The Hilversum Concert“ is a rare, never-before-issued recording of the legendary Bill Evans trio featuring Eddie Gomez on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums, captured live at the Netherlands Radio Union Studios in Hilversum on June 22, 1968. This is only the third known recording in existence of this particular trio, who only performed together as a trio for a six month period in 1968, and was originally recorded and broadcast on the radio program Jazz in Actie by Dutch producer Joop de Roo. For the audiophile, this is possibly the best sounding live recording of Bill Evans found to date, captured with the then state of the art equipment of the NRU, and kept in pristine condition over the years.
