Al profesor Bacterio le han robado el más pe-ligroso de sus inventos, un artefacto que ter-mina en manos de un dictador bajito, chalado y dispuesto a usarlo de forma criminal. El Sú-per lo tiene claro: si quiere recuperarlo, no de-be contar con sus agentes Mortadelo y Filemón. Cuando éstos se enteran de que la TIA ha contratado a un detective chulesco y fan-tasmón para resolver el caso, deciden actuar por su cuenta y ries-go, aunque las cuentas las pague el Súper y el riesgo lo corra la humanidad. ¿Salvarán al mundo o acabarán con él?
The DDT, the professor Bacterio's dangerous invention has just been stolen by the dictator of Tirania. The Súper wants to recover it but he knows that it should not call Mortadelo and Filemón, so it sends the case to a boaster detective called Freddy Mazas so that recover the invention, but Freddy is bribed by the dictator Tirano. The mission seems that it will fail although Mortadelo and Filemón investigate the case for their own means.

During a hold-up in the Wild West, Dakota kills a rich old Chinese man, Wang. Later, he is captured, sentenced, and is about to be hanged - but he never profited from Wang's death- only finding the photographs of his four widows and a fortune cookie. Meanwhile, Lo comes to America in search of his uncle's fortune after his family is held hostage. He frees Dakota from the Hangman, since he's the only one who can help find Wang's fortune. Now, the difficult part will really start… the Treasure hunt. First they need to locate the four clues, a tattoo on each of Wang's widow's butts, then uncover the fortune while being hunted by a religious fanatic/ ex-confederate soldier who is on to their game.

A young boy and his father live in a dull, lonely house with the shadow of mourning hanging over them both. The boy misses his mother but gets no comfort from his father's ascertains that she went peacefully. This tragedy is added to by the family dog which is looking increasingly unhealthy.
The challenge of a short in some cases is to try and get a lot across enough story in a short time to make the film work in some way. That is the case here - the film is very short and has a lot of back story to tell us, indeed the back story IS the story. The background is delivered so well it's amazing. The final punch is the least subtle but up till then it's sublime. Little details, little expressions, little movements tell so much about the inner feelings. Even if it's pretty depressing it's still worth watching for the skill.
Did I mention these are not people but steel framed puppets? Puppets with fixed expressions? Yet they still manage to emote so very much and fill us in on the story. The only character I didn't like was the dog itself as I felt that it was made to look too desperate, to much at the end of the road! Though that may have been the point.
Overall this short and (bitter) sweet. It's not cheerful and is the exact opposite but the level of detail that is brought out through minor things should be seen to be appreciated - I've seen plenty of actors who could take a lot from this short.

When the single middle-aged Luis travels from Barcelona to bury the remains of his mother in the vault of his family in Segovia, he is lodged by his aunt Pilar in her old house where he spent his summer of 1936. He meets his cousin Angelica, who was his first love, living on the first floor with her husband and daughter, and he recalls his childhood in times of the Spanish Civil War entwined with the present.

Al cabo de los años, Luis vuelve a Segovia trayendo desde Barcelona los restos de su madre para inhumarlos en el panteón familiar. Allí pasaba los veranos, en casa de su tía Pilar y la prima Angélica. La guerra civil retuvo a Luis en Segovia, lejos de sus padres y la convivencia con Angélica despertó sus primeros sentimientos amorosos. El hombre evoca aquellos días y vuelve a su infancia con una prima Angélica casada y madre de una hija.

El Chavo del 8 fue una serie de televisión cómica mexicana creada por Roberto Gómez Bolaños, producida por Televisión Independiente de México (más tarde, Televisa)
El programa trata sobre las vivencias de un grupo de personas que habitan en una vecindad mexicana donde su protagonista, El Chavo, lleva a cabo travesuras junto con sus amigos que ocasionan malentendidos y discusiones entre los mismos vecinos, por lo general de tono cómico. El guion surgió de un sketch escrito por Gómez Bolaños en donde un niño pobre de 8 años discute con un vendedor de globos en un parque. Se le prestó una mayor importancia al desarrollo de los personajes, a los cuales se les asignó una personalidad distintiva. Desde un comienzo, su creador contempló que El Chavo estaría dirigido al público adulto, no al infantil, aún cuando se tratara de adultos interpretando a niños. El elenco principal estuvo integrado por Gómez Bolaños, Ramón Valdés, Carlos Villagrán, María Antonieta de las Nieves, Florinda Meza, Rubén Aguirre, Angelines Fernández y Édgar Vivar, que interpretaron a El Chavo, Don Ramón, Quico, la Chilindrina, Doña Florinda, el profesor Jirafales, Doña Clotilde y el señor Barriga, respectivamente. La dirección y producción de la serie recayeron en Enrique Segoviano y en Carmen Ochoa.
