As part of its ongoing live on tour series, FTD is pleased to announce the release of ELVIS: HOUSTON-FORT WORTH-BATON ROUGE 1974. Released as a 3-CD 5” digi-pak, this set features three 1974 shows from Astrodome, Houston, Texas (evening show) March 3, Tarrant Convention Center, Fort Worth (evening show) June 15 and Louisiana State University Assembly Center, Baton Rouge, June 17.

Darüber hinaus erscheint eine 2LP-Gatefold-Edition mit einer Auswahl von 18 Songs und eine 2CD-Digipak-Edition mit einer Auswahl von 34 Songs.

"Slow Dancer" is the sixth album by Boz Scaggs, originally released by Columbia in 1974. It was produced by former Motowner Johnny Bristol of "Hang On In There Baby" fame.

Stories to Tell is the fourth solo studio album by Brazilian jazz singer Flora Purim that was released in 1974 on Milestone Records.

Genesis' sixth studio album was released as a double album in November 1974 by Charisma Records and is the last to feature original frontman Peter Gabriel. The group's longest album to date, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway peaked at No. 10 on the U.K. Albums Chart and No. 41 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S..

Artiste pluridisciplinaire, Nicole Croisille passe allègrement de la chanson au cinéma et de la comédie musicale au théâtre. L'iinterprète de l'immortel « Chabadabada » d'Un Homme et une femme (1966) a multiplié les succès au cours des années 1970 : « Une femme avec toi », « Téléphone moi », « Parlez-moi de lui (Il ne pense qu'à toi) » ou « Les Uns et les autres » ont marqué les esprits par sa voix chaude et puissante. En 2006, elle rend hommage à Claude Nougaro dans un spectacle et le disque Nougaro, le jazz et moi.

Featuring his would-be-soulman sound, Slow Dancer finds Boz Scaggs straddling the apparently fine line between Van Morrison and Isaac Hayes. While Silk Degrees is often touted as Scaggs' best '70s album – based largely upon the chart success of "Lowdown" – Slow Dancer features just as many catchy melodic tunes that meld a kind of boogie pub rock with an organic urban soul. Produced by Motown regular Johnny Bristol, Scaggs delivers some of his best performances on the Bristol-penned track "Pain of Love" and the Neil Young meets Marvin Gaye ballad "Sail on White Moon."

Though her recordings for Chick Corea's Return to Forever provide a better introduction to her vocal talents, Stories to Tell is an excellent outing by Flora Purim and friends. Assisted by a cast of jazz/fusion all-stars led by husband Airto Moreira, Purim shows off the wide range of her abilities: from wordless vocal soaring to songs with lyrics in English and Portuguese, from uptempo percussion-driven workouts to beautiful ballads. In addition to Airto, the assembled cast includes bassists Miroslav Vitous and Ron Carter, keyboard wunderkind George Duke, guitarists Earl Klugh and Oscar Castro-Neves, and trombonist Raul de Souza. Also, Carlos Santana turns in one of his patented sizzling guitar solos on "Silver Sword." With material from Antonio Carlos Jobim, Vitous, Milton Nascimento, McCoy Tyner, and Purim herself, this is an album worth savoring.
