C.O.C.X. That word not necessary conjures up images of relaxation, stress-relief or healthy living with no drugs nor booze - especially when you consider the date when this album was recorded (1983), which is probably somewhere around 'the darkest' period in Stanko's body of work. But - surprise surprise - the main promise of C.O.C.X. is just that - relaxation and stress-relief. Stanko's romantically rocking trumpet, Apostolis' guitar solos on their way from Greece to Jamaica, J.A Torress' Latin congas, Rek's swinging bass - all those integrands create an experience which tend to be everybody's favorite, even among the folks who are not especially keen on post-electric Miles grooves. For those times when you just want to be noncommittal about you music selection, that would be a perfect record to choose, especially in company of well chilled bottle of Pino Grigio or New Zeeland's Sauvignon Blanc.

ZUCCHERO "SUGAR" FORNACIARI is back with "INACUSTICO - D.O.C. & MORE", his new album featuring all the tracks from his latest album "D.O.C" plus 11 of his greatest hits re-arranged in brand-new, previously unreleased acoustic versions. Zucchero's audience has been waiting for a long time for such a project. "Spirito nel buio" and "L'amore è nell'aria" are already available on all digital platforms. The two most accessible studio LPs by the Brothers Four slot together perfectly, and are ideal artifacts of their era: upbeat and enjoyable (and totally inauthentic) presentations of folk songs and folk-type songs. The debut album is weighted just a bit toward novelty-type tunes - or at least folk material done in the style of novelty tunes - such as "The Zulu Warrior" and "Sama Kama Wacky Brown," and calypso. B.M.O.C.'s 12 songs are more diverse and sung with greater subtlety and sophistication, and constitute the group's best work on album. The range of material on this disc (which includes the hits "Greenfields" and "The Green Leaves of Summer") makes this an excellent alternative to either the best-of or the greatest hits collection released on the group.

December 11th sees the release of “D.O.C. Deluxe”, featuring all the songs on “D.O.C.” plus six brand new tracks including the special duet of STING & ZUCCHERO singing the previously unreleased “September”.
