Last year, Clapton hosted and curated the seventh instalment of his Crossroads Guitar Festival on September 23 and 24 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. It notably marked the event's return after a four-year break, selling out the iconic arena on both days. Once again, Clapton carefully assembled a powerhouse cohort of influential guitarists representing various eras and styles.

Eric Clapton is een van artiesten die aan de wieg van het fenomeen gitaarhelden van de popmuziek stond. In 1970 slaat de Brit het solopad in en debuteert in hetzelfde jaar met het album Eric Clapton. Als soloartiest gaat hij hits scoren als "Layla" en "Change the World". Maar meer dan een hitmaker is Clapton een artiest die staat voor een hoogwaardige oeuvre, waarbij hij ondanks diverse muzikale uitstapjes toch altijd weer terugkeert naar zijn eerste liefde: de blues. Ook zijn album The Lady in the Balcony: Lockdown Sessions uit 2021 staat weer in teken van dit genre. Daarnaast is Clapton met zijn unieke gitaarspel ook een voorbeeld voor vele nieuwe generaties muzikanten.

And Now, Eric Carmen: The Arista Archive collects 25 demos, single versions, live tracks and studio outtakes (including three heard here for the first time) to offer an alternate look at Carmen's career as he launched radio hits like "All by Myself," "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again," "She Did It" and "Change of Heart" in the '70s; then, after a long period of quiet after a one-off album for Geffen in 1984, a last burst of hits in the thunderous Top 5s "Hungry Eyes" (from the bestselling soundtrack to 1987's Dirty Dancing) and "Make Me Lose Control," co-written with songwriter Dean Pitchford, with whom he'd penned the hit "Almost Paradise" for Loverboy's Mike Reno and Heart's Ann Wilson to take into the Top 10 from 1984's Footloose soundtrack.

Eric Serra Multi-instrumentiste, compositeur, entrepreneur : Eric Serra a plus d’une corde à son arc ! Elevé par un père chansonnier, le garçon apprend la guitare dès ses cinq ans avant d’étudier guitare électrique, batterie, basse, piano mais aussi synthétiseurs. A quinze ans, le jeune musicien forme son premier groupe de rock progressif avant de devenir musicien de studio et de rencontrer Pierre Jolivet puis Luc Besson qui lui propose de composer les musiques de L’Avant dernier, Le Dernier Combat et Subway en 1985. Il remporte une Victoire de la Musique et une nomination aux Césars. La BO de Le Grand Bleu en 1988 consacre Eric Serra qui remporte un César, le Grand Prix de la SACEM et va jusqu’à être nommé Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
