This ballad-like saga opens with image of a lone horseman on the empty plain, riding past a rude gallows. The film concerns the vengeful return of a legendary betyár (outlaw), briefly a hero to the local herdsmen who oppose the state building a canal across their grazing land.

More and more young German pianist Forian Glemser is establishing himself in concert life. Invitations to piano recitals and appearances with orchestras took him to almost all renowned concert halls in Germany, including Konzerthaus Berlin, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Herkulessaal Munich, and others, as well as in other European countries in halls such as Wigmore Hall in London, Stefaniensaal in Graz, and the Brucknerhaus in Linz. For his debut with OehmsClassics, he wanted a pure Beethoven program that can hardly be more demanding. He has included the Eroica-Variationen Op. 35, the Sonate No. 30 Op. 109, and Sechs Bagatellen Op. 126- an impressive program for any career, much less that of such a young performer.

This generous album (nearly 75 minutes long) contains 14 selections from the award-winning trio's other CDs. Thus, the range of music is quite wide. The artists (Erika Nickrenz–piano, Adela Pena-violin, & Sara Sant'Ambrogio–cello), though accomplished soloists, meld their playing beautifully. Most of the pieces are very lively–not too relaxing or useful for meditation–but great for listening.

The CD works very well as a unified program of latin music. In addition to works by Villa-Lobos and Brazilian composer Penaforte (whose very engaging composition "An Eroica Trio" was written specifically for the group), we are treated to Joaquin Turina's First Trio, and four short movements by Astor Piazzolla.
