Following his successful Deutsche Grammophon debut “Bach”, Avi Avital has continued to immerse himself in the music of J.S. Bach. For his upcoming tour in the Spring of 2019, the Grammy-nominated mandolin virtuoso from Israel has arranged two of Bach’s best known works, the Solo Partita No. 2 in D minor BWV 1004 and the famous Prélude from Cellosuite No. 1. The Extended Edition of his 2012 album includes around 33 minutes of newly recorded Bach as arranged by Avital.

Guitarist and composer Yuval Ron performs original tunes that transcend the boundaries of any specific musical genre. Inspired by a crossover of modern jazz-rock, progressive music, cinematic and orchestral music genres, it is all well blended into an own fresh and distinct musical direction, best described as Cinematic Prog or Jazz-Rock.

The nineteen essays assembled in this Festschrift represent the multiplicity of interests evident in Elisabeth (Elisheva) Revel-Neher's work.

Ruth Dolores Weiss (born February 23, 1978, in Ashkelon, Israel) is an Israeli musician. She released her second studio album, Be'Ivrit (literally, "In Hebrew"), to critical acclaim in Israel in August 2008. Ben Shalev, Israel's top music critic, writing about the album in Haaretz, said, "Amazing. There is no other word to describe the encounter with the voice, talent, sensitivity, emotion and spirit of Ruth Dolores Weiss." Another Israeli music critic, David Peretz, one of the first to hear Weiss' songs, said it was like discovering Billie Holiday or Björk in Ashkelon, her hometown. Weiss' previous album, Come See (Raw Versions), was released in 2004. Weiss lived in Austin, Texas, for a few years before releasing Be'Ivrit, but returned to live in Israel with her family to tour, perform and record. She also composed the soundtrack for the film Hayuta and Berl by Amir Manor in 2012.
