2012 marked the 50th anniversary of the greatest American band, The Beach Boys. To mark this momentous occasion, the band reunited to tour the country as well as a number of International concerts. The fans were thrilled to see Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks on the same stage again, playing all the hits and more. This magical tour is now captured on the 41 track collection, Live-The 50th Anniversary Tour.

Even before their debut album, Happiness, became one of the fastest-selling albums in the U.K. in 2010, Manchester duo Hurts already had a rabid online fan base, stoked by several arch, expertly art-directed videos that the group self-produced, which captured the eye while showcasing the band's mix of '80s synth pop melodicism, Krautrock angularity, and '90s Hi-NRG balladry. The videos expertly juxtaposed a Helmut Newton-esque black-and-white aesthetic with the group's musical love of dance-club dramatics, á la Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Pet Shop Boys, eventually attracting the attention of Euro-pop diva Kylie Minogue, who ended up singing on the track "Devotion."

Yessongs is the first live album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released as a triple album in May 1973 on Atlantic Records. After completing their Close to the Edge Tour in April 1973, the band selected live recordings between February and December 1972 on their tours supporting Fragile (1971) and Close to the Edge (1972) for a live album release.

Rehearsal Live 1975 is a practice session Fleetwood Mac did before they were to go on tour for their self-titled 1975 album, which would lead to the hits "Rhiannon" and "Landslide". It was recorded at Trod Nossel Studios in Wallingford, Connecticut on 23 September, 1975, is directly from the soundboard and sounds incredible. It sounds as if it was made for an industry recording or a radio show but the crowd sounds limited in size so it seems it was an invite-only performance, perhaps with closest friends or maybe just the roadies. This was released by the Zion label.

“Hello! How was dinner?” Belew wryly enquires after blowing the doors out of the place with the barrage of Entry Of The Crims and an especially forceful LTIA 3 which has occasionally sounded a little unsteady on this tour. The sound on this audience recording is a little ragged in places but not at all muddy, allowing us to get a sense of what went down in Wisconsin. “We have some more of that weird kind of stuff if you like it” adds Belew at the end of an especially gothic reading of Industry which sounds like a tour through a horror house factory as opposed to a more traditional industrial setting. At the more conventional end of the repertoire Waiting Man possesses the sprightly energy that sounds like it was channeling Talking Heads’ I Zimbra. “We have some other things to play from our very yellow third album” quips Belew before launching into Man With An Open Heart, “we made it folks, three albums. Amazing!” This last comment only hints at the internal politics and personal difficulties which would bring this incarnation of Crimson to a halt after another 14 shows. Nevertheless, there’s a tremendous vigour to this show.

Nobody can sing a Southern gospel song any better than Charley Pride, which is why Did You Think to Pray became a staple of Sunday Christian radio stations for many years to come.
