Gallery of Flavours was a mystical electronic concept work that combines classic Teutonic passages with spatial Eastern symphonic arrangements. Dharana proved once again that expensive high-end equipment for tens of thousands euros should not be the basis of spherical music. Rather, with more modest devices prove that everything you need, you can pull out of the available synthesizers and samplers. It can be expected everything, but nothing like great spherical sound escapades. Dharana skill needs to be indebted because of those Vangelis-like structures reminiscent of "Soil Festivities" by aforementioned Greek. The latter is one of the monumental works in the pre-1492 time - here you hear the second part by Dharana…
This imported CD could serve as a blueprint for how to turn two very flawed but interesting albums into something worth buying – just maximize the virtues and let them come to the surface, and hope there are enough of them; in this case there are, albeit not by too much. Part of Canadian BMG's "Guess Who X 2" reissue series, Rockin'/Flavours marks the first official CD reissue of either of these two Guess Who albums…
Award-winning electro-pop duo from Australia, containing members of the Sleepy Jackson and Pnau.
Best known for their hit single "Walking on a Dream," Australia's larger-than-life electro-glam-pop duo Empire of the Sun feature the Sleepy Jackson's Luke Steele and Pnau's Nick Littlemore. Steele had previously worked with Pnau on "With You Forever," a track from the band's 2007 self-titled third album, and the pair enjoyed collaborating so much that they started their own project, drawing inspiration from the likes of Phoenix and Daft Punk. In fall 2008, Empire of the Sun released their debut album, Walking on a Dream, which the musicians described as "a spiritual road movie." Featuring songs co-written by Pnau's other half, Peter Mayes, the album went platinum in Australia and the title track became a hit single across the globe…

Italian group L'Albero del Veleno (The Poison Tree) released a well-received debut back in 2013 entitled `Le Radici del Male' (`The Roots of Evil'), a cinematic horror-influenced work of gloomy Goblin-styled pieces. It was a superb first effort from a talented bunch of young musicians, but now it almost seems like a mere practice run for what they've delivered here four years later! 2017's `Tale of a Dark Fate' is a fully instrumental rock opera told in two acts, conveying the stories of Hypnos and Thanatos, two siblings of ancient Greek mythology that reside in the underworld, and it holds all the moodiness and mystery of that legendary above-mentioned horror soundtrack group, but L'Albero del Veleno go much further…
Trinidad. 4,768 km2 of land surrounded by turquoise waters, a unique piece of the Caribbean puzzle where musical vibrations arrive on the waves from the neighbouring islands.
Eastern Dance opens the very diversified music on the album. The original composition of Piotr combines two meters: 7/4 and 4/4. This melodic gravity often used in Polish folk songs. Two melodic lines of electric and acoustic guitar are lively counterpointed by the accordion and supported by a strong rhythm section. The tune is full of collective drive and energy. It is introduced with a mysterious beginning that is led by Olegs fine Duduk playing.
