For his solo album, José Privat naturally left the production and choice of musicians to his son Grégory Privat. The discreet virtuoso who has been playing with Malavoi for 30 years now has let his love of the organ invade his album supported by a driving rhythm by Tito Bertholo and Ralph Lavital. Two distinguished guests Tricia Evy and Grégory Privat. An album already recognized by Tsf or Jazz New as a classic.

Saint Privat is a story that began at a summer wedding in Vienna in 2003. Among the guests was electronic musician and producer Klaus Waldeck (known for his album Ballroom Stories). He was pretty impressed with the francophile singer Valerie Sajdik, who performed in the wedding band. Waldeck invited Valerie to his studio the following week and voila - Saint Privat was born. Their first track was a cover of Henry Mancini's composition "Nothing to Lose", which sort of became the unspoken motto of their collaboration.

After two very intimate solos, pianist and singer Grégory Privat returns with PHOENIX, a luminous album which celebrates the cycle of life and the fact of constantly being reborn from one's ashes. A metaphor on the firebird which is intended to be a continuation of the SOLEY album released in 2020. We find double bassist Chris Jennings and drummer Tilo Bertholo for an extraordinary trio, towards a spiritual jazz between urban pop, songs Creoles, and electronic music.
