Flower Kings

Swedish progressive rock legends The Flower Kings, and longtime label-partners InsideOutMusic, will begin an extensive reissue campaign in 2022, which will see the entire catalogue of the band reissued on CD & Vinyl in remastered editions, with it being the first time many of the albums have been available on wax. The next in the series is the band’s sixth album ‘The Rainmaker’. It will be available as Ltd. CD Digipak & Gatefold black 2LP+CD & LP-Booklet (for the first time!), both featuring remastered and partly remixed audio and new artwork.

THE FLOWER KINGS - 25 years in the service of music. Started by prolific Swedish guitarist & singer Roine Stolt in 1994; NOW - again joined by long-time partners in stringed things & voices, Hasse Fröberg & Michael Stolt and Italian drummer Mirko DeMaio. Now about to release a brand-new studio album in September 2023. This album 'LOOK AT YOU NOW' - Nr: 16 - was inspired as much by the turbulent times we travel thru lately - as by the ancient goals of mankind to find peace and enlightenment and dwell in silence - in awe of the wonders that surrounds us. According to the band themselves, their strongest set of songs in a very long time - and with a classic sound delivered thru the desk of Icon Rupert Neve at Fenix Recording Sweden.

Roine Stolt presents 92 minutes of of dazzling music with an FK line-up featuring Hasse Fröberg, Zach Kamins, Jonas Reingold, Mirko DeMaio and special guest Rob Townsend.
Due to the Covid-19-pandemic the album comes out quite a bit sooner than originally planned as Roine explains: “All shows and festivals were cancelled and the future didn’t really ‘unfold’ itself like we had hoped. To sit out the pandemic with no activities was not an option for us. We cannot be stopped by an evil virus. With members living in the USA, Italy, Austria and Sweden the only way was to use the magic of the ’net’ sending files and start building, what now became, a double album of 21 songs.”

Roine Stolt's voice is strong, full, passionate, and delightfully accented. The Flower Kings' lyrics are heady, compelling, and hook city. The guitar work is extremely melodic and rates right up there with anything Brian May or David Gilmour has offered. Stolt is expertly meshed in this band with brother Michael on bass and voice. It features the epic 25-minute title track which has since become one of the bands signature songs.
