Shot at concerts in Europe and in South Africa, footage opens with the show's atmospherically-lit and sound-tracked ‘Intro' and features an 18-song set, with material taken from Chris's extensive back catalogue of hits, including the seminal ballad Lady In Red, and also performances of songs from his latest internationally successful album Footsteps, a hand-picked selection by Chris of songs which have influenced his own career and writing.

Footsteps is the 17th studio album from Ireland-based singer/songwriter Chris de Burgh. De Burgh handpicked 13 songs that have influenced him throughout his career, as well as two songs especially written for the album. Recording live in just eight days, de Burgh tackled classics by great songwriters, including Lennon and McCartney, Bob Dylan, and Pete Seeger.

Covering all of his crucial eighties material, Spark to a Flame: The Very Best of Chris de Burgh offers up most of this songwriter's best work, while also including a few of his better pieces from early in his career…

Once again combining softened elegance with his gentlemanly approach to the simple love song, Chris de Burgh remains true to form on Quiet Revolution with polished ballads and morning-friendly, mid-tempo material. de Burgh's style hasn't strayed since "The Lady in Red" peaked at number three in 1987, and from that point on he has tried to emulate the same success with his romantic formula of ballroom-type love songs and delicate lyrics. Although Quiet Revolution offers up a handful of these, some of the other tracks exhibit punchy melodies that still display de Burgh's heartfelt voice.
