Friends Series 2

This heart warming and fascinating returnable series will bring you the most incredible animal friends from around the world. From a duck that won't enter the water without her Labrador retriever guardian, to a very special friendship between a rhino and a lamb, to an elephant who thinks she's a buffalo. We'll travel the globe to track down the cutest, funniest and most unusual animal relationships and bring you the comical and compelling stories behind these bizarre animal bonds, why they have formed and how they've stood the test of time.

The World Science Festival is an annual highlight, bringing together a just-right mix of star power from various scientific disciplines and further-flung fields. Our mission is to cultivate a general public informed by science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future.

In this second series, a wise old leopard is challenged by a young rival; a lion cub struggles to find his place in the pride; and a lowly young hyena needs to grow up fast as the dry season takes hold. Powerful, personal stories will reveal the unique characters and amazing adaptations of Africa's top predators, followed in intimate detail, in the Zambian wilderness.

At the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, the challenges come often and fast, from teaching the orphaned orangutans essential life skills to ensuring the more rambunctious members of the class don't cause too much mayhem. There are fruit kebabs as treats, baby orangutans in diapers, and many other delightful moments. But the future these orphans face is far from certain, as they work to overcome traumatic pasts, learn the skills they need to survive, and progress towards a carefully planned release back into the wild.

Jarvis and Friends Volume 2 is the second release in a series of albums comprising collections of mostly improvised duos. Volume 2 includes bass trombone, electric guitar, multiple percussion, mallet percussion, drum set and vocals. As before, Peter Jarvis has teamed up with some of the finest musicians in the world, including David Taylor (bass trombone and vocals), Gene Pritsker (electric guitar), Kevin Norton (vibraphone and percussion) and Payton MacDonald (marimba.) Peter Jarvis is playing marimba, multiple percussion and drum set. The volume includes both improvisations and composed pieces. The artwork is by Mark Kostabi.
