On Rise & Shine SIMO widens their sound and is filled with slow-smoked soul ballads, psychedelic desert-rock instrumentals, hard-edged, bluesy barn burners and Stax-worthy funk rockers. "Rise & Shine" began taking shape on the road, where SIMO's three bandmates — singer, guitarist and namesake frontman JD Simo; drummer Adam Abrashoff; and bassist Elad Shapiro — spent most of 2016 on tour. They played 215 shows that year, leaving behind their Nashville headquarters and traveling to nine different countries in support of their Billboard Top 10 blues album, Let Love Show the Way.

Peter Carlsohn’s new album; Out of the Blue is his debut album as a solo artist, but there are quite some years of experience behind this project.

Come Shine is saying goodbye after more than 20 years, with two releases from a series of intimate concerts in 2017-18. The original idea for a Coming Home project with four intimate concerts arose while the quartet was recording at Hellviktangen on Nesodden outside Oslo, close to Roggen's home turf. Fully acoustic recordings with the audience present on four stages, each representing the four members of the band in their own way. Come Shine was born in a rehearsal room and the intimate, acoustic setting of these recordings draws a long line back to this starting point. Come Shine had come home!
