This two-albums-in-one pack brings us the best of Gary for those who are hardened fans of Spooky Tooth. True, he seduced the American public a few years later with his "Dream Weaver" single and album, but for many of us that road was a bit too commercial and clearly aimed at the American market. Well done, Gary, for you certainly deserved the recognition of a wider public. But what a pity your first two solo albums were largely ignored, and are so difficult to get hold of. They are hidden treasure. Both "Gary Wright's Extraction" and "Footprint" are fine albums.

This new collection of Gary Wright (Spooky Tooth, Wonderwheel,) solo recordings from Warner Bros. Records, features the smash hit singles "Dream Weaver," "Love is Alive' and "Really Wanna Know You." The album also contains his other chart hits and favorite album tracks, such as "Phantom Writer," and "Touch and Gone." Also featured is Gary's rerecording of "Dream Weaver, "as heard in the film Wayne's World.

LaShawn D. Gary is an Emmy Award Winning Producer, Composer, Smooth Jazz Artist and Pianist. He is a native of Detroit, Michigan and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrumental Music Education from Southern University A&M College, and earned a Masters of Music Education Degree from the University of Louisville.
