Although best known as a member of the vocalese supergroup Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, the great jazz singer Annie Ross’s solo albums are gems unto themselves and “A Gasser!” from 1959 is the finest of them all.

The Judas Tree' is another testimony to the almost irrepressible creativity of the Swiss. In contrast to his latest album 'Mercy On Me', which is full of rousing rock hits, the artist, also known as an author and filmmaker, shows on his latest work both his contemplative side and that the hardness of the music does not necessarily depend on electric guitars and amplifiers. The Judas Tree is an album with acoustic guitars, but if you are expecting a ballad collection now, you are way off course. This record is more Rock'n'Roll than many other genre releases that claim this description, because rock music in its pure form is above all one thing: honest and handmade, traditional and profound.

Eine bunte Mischung aus lustigen, ruhigen und auch besinnlichen Liedern erwartet euch beim Hören dieser CD. Zwischendurch findet ihr immer wieder ein Instrumentalstück: Marion an der Harfe, Anna Katharina am Hackbrett und Viktor auf der Gitarre oder dem Kontrabass. Die Freude am Singen und am Musizieren haben wir schon von klein auf mitbekommen, als zu Hause in der Familie gesungen wurde. Auf den Jugendsing- und Musizierwochen und anderen Volksmusikseminaren haben wir dann bald die Freude am Zusammensingen entdeckt. Seit über zehn Jahren singen und musizieren wir nun schon bei den verschiedensten Anlässen. Denn für uns gilt: Wenn des Singen net war, war die Welt woll lei laar! Deshalb hat die Musik einen wichtigen Platz in unserem Leben.
