In the 40 years that acclaimed German record label Bear Family has been reissuing classic, career-spanning CD boxed sets, one of the artists whose early work has been on customers' wish lists is country legend George Jones. Christmas has come early for Jones fans as the label announces the February release of a sprawling six-disc collection encompassing all of Jones' early recordings from the Starday and Mercury labels.

Known as "the first Lady of country music", Tammy Wynette charted 73 us country hits, 20 of which were # 1s. Her first # 1 was the duet with David Houston, "my elusive dreams", included in this set. In the UK, she reached # 1 with the perennially popular "stand by your man" In 1975 (for which she won a Grammy), and had follow-up hits with the equally popular "D.I.V.O.R.C.E" And "I don't wanna play house" (For which she won another a Grammy). married to fellow country legend George Jones from 1969 to 1975, they recorded many hit duets together, eleven of which are featured in this set. Nearly all produced by country music's best-known producer Billy sherrill, this sixty track 3 CD set features tammy's top hits.

Tammy Wynette During her heyday of the late '60s and '70s, Tammy Wynette was called "The First Lady of Country Music," an honorarium that spoke to both her elegance and popularity. Wynette dominated the country charts starting in 1967, when "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad" rocketed into the country Top Ten, quickly followed by the number one David Houston duet "My Elusive Dreams," and ending in the '70s, when the Top Tens slowly faded away. Over the course of that decade, she recorded hit after hit with Billy Sherrill, a producer who cannily steered her toward writing and singing material that played upon country tradition while addressing modern issues. "I Don't Wanna Play House" and "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" were heartbreak songs that tapped into the shifting society of the late '60s, a situation her signature song "Stand by Your Man" also tacitly addressed by reasserting old-fashioned values in a time of change.

Bonnie Bramlett (born Bonnie Lynn O'Farrell, November 8, 1944) is an American singer and occasional actress known for her distinctive vocals in rock and pop music. She began as a backing vocalist for blues and R&B singers; performed with her husband, Delaney Bramlett, as Delaney & Bonnie; and continues to sing as a solo artist. The Complete Stevie Wonder is a digital compilation featuring the work of Stevie Wonder. Released a week before the physical release of A Time to Love, the set comprises almost all of Wonder's officially released material, including single mixes, extended versions, remixes, and Workout Stevie Workout, a 1963 album which was shelved and replaced by With a Song in My Heart. The set also contains a digital (PDF) booklet and three music videos: "Overjoyed", "Part-Time Lover" and "So What the Fuss". On April 21, 2015, the box set lost its exclusivity rights to iTunes. It was removed from the iTunes store, but is available on other streaming services, and available on FLAC as well.
