"Princess" is the first recording for the duo of Stéphan Oliva & Susanne Abbuehl with the great Norwegian drummer and percussionist Øyvind Hegg-Lunde. The album have been released on the French independent label Vision Fugitive. The Trio will be on Tour in 2017 & 2018.

Cosa fu realmente il Risorgimento? Fu davvero un movimento di popolo, che vide gli italiani lottare con eroismo per la libertà, guidati da intrepidi condottieri e geniali statisti? E fu davvero merito dei Savoia se quella lotta costellata di sacrifici venne coronata dalla vittoria? Per capirlo, basta gettare uno sguardo sull'Italia di oggi, che in quell'epoca affonda le proprie radici: un Paese infelice, incompiuto, viziato da mali endemici quali la corruzione e il familismo, con una classe politica imbelle e un'élite economico-finanziaria di affaristi senza scrupoli. Ma da dove nasce questo sordido intreccio di tare ereditarie? La risposta che ci dà Lorenzo Del Boca, in questa "controstoria" è chiara: nasce dal tradimento della lotta risorgimentale da parte di un'intelligencia idealista a parole, ma pronta a vendersi per viltà o tornaconto e di una casa regnante ingorda, ipocrita, interessata solo a riempirsi la pancia e ad allargare i confini del suo staterello..

Pianist Stéphan Oliva started making a name for himself in the jazz world in the early 90s through his work in trio based on his own compositions. He’s been playing with American drummer Paul Motian and Bruno Chevillon since 1997. Two records, “Fantasm” and “Intérieur nuit”, were released as a result of the trio’s work honouring Paul Motian’s compositions.

Claudio Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria is a love story pur sang. With this opera he narrates the long-awaited homecoming of Odysseus after his mythical travels in the aftermath of the Trojan War. After L’Orfeo - on the programme later this season - it was the second opera composed by the Italian master. Performing this masterpiece is I Gemelli, a young French ensemble founded by Chilean-Swiss tenor Emiliano Gonzalez Toro. The ensemble consists of a splendid cast including Fleur Barron, Emöke Barath and Zachary Wilder. Together, they will transform this tale of the union between Odysseus and his beloved Penelope into a breathtaking evening.
