Goldie has announced a new album entitled The Journey Man coming out June 16 via Cooking Vinyl and Goldie’s Metalheadz label. The 16-track set will include contributions from vocalists Natalie Duncan, Terri Walker, Tyler Lee Daly, Natalie Williams, José James, Naomi Pryor, and Goldie’s wife Mika Wassenaar Price. It follows Goldie’s 2013 3xCD compilation The Alchemist: The Best of Goldie 1992-2012, which marked the producer’s 20th anniversary in music.

Timeless is the 1995 debut album by Clifford Price, who is better known as British drum & bass master Goldie. The album was released as a single CD edition and a double CD edition. Some may prefer to hear it in a compact and precise manner while others may prefer to hear the double disc version with a number of extra tracks and remixes.

Goldie is a 2019 American drama film written and directed by Sam de Jong. The film stars Slick Woods, George Sample III, Danny Hoch, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Khris Davis, Edwina Findley Dickerson, Alanna Renee Tyler-Tompkins, Jazmyn C Dorsey, Angela Griszell, Jose Rodriguez, ASAP Ferg, Ito Aghayere.

Goldie soaked up the popular country music of the era and developed a talent for singing. Early on, Goldie's older brothers Tommy and Ken left a life of cotton picking determined to make a name for themselves in country music. Within a few years, they were backing up Hank Williams, Johnny Horton, and Webb Pierce. Sister Goldie officially got her start on the Louisiana Hayride in 1953 as part of Tommy's band. Billed as "the Golden Hillbilly," she scored a number one hit in 1953 with her second single, "I Let the Stars Get in My Eyes," originally written by Tommy for Kitty Wells. Among her other charting tunes were several duets with either Ernest Tubb's son Justin Tubb or Red Sovine, including the big hit "Yankee Go Home."

Somewhere between the end of her stint on Laugh-In and her reincarnation as a movie star, Goldie Hawn thought she'd give singing a try. On this 1972 release, simply titled "Goldie", Hawn teams up with the likes of Porter Wagoner, Dolly Parton, and Buck Owens to produce a country album, covering material from Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Paul Stookey and many others.

It's a tragedy of pop culture in the new millennium that starlets don't rush willy-nilly into the recording studio anywhere near as much as they used to. Goldie Hawn's sole foray into pop music – originally released in 1972 on Warner Bros. after Laugh-In but before Steven Spielberg's Sugarland Express revealed her dramatic range as an actress – isn't Golden Throats-level bad, surely to the disappointment of hipsters everywhere. Although Hawn's helium-pitched voice is a trifle thin and limited, the selection of material wisely plays to her strengths, with Dolly Parton's "My Blue Tears" and – believe it or not – Joni Mitchell's "Carey" both well-suited to her soprano vocals. In fact, the only really egregious errors aren't really her fault: the Frenchified "Butterfly," with its absurdly cheesy choral backing, wouldn't have sounded good sung by anybody, and the countrified take on Van Morrison's "I Wanna Roo You" has a botched arrangement that slaps on a vaguely oompah-style waltz-time arrangement that suits neither singer nor song. Other than that, though, Goldie is a sweetly endearing country-tinged middle of the road pop record of a style that just isn't being made anymore.
