was the name of two comic book series published by Marvel Comics in the 1970s. The first series, previously posted here in AvaxHome, featured in its first issue the origin of the Marvel Universe superhero team The Defenders. This, the second series, featured , a supporting character from the ancient fantasy world of . It was published for only seven issues, from November 1975 until November 1976. Issue #6 entitled "Beware the Sacred Sons of Set" sets off a 5-issue story arc that crosses over into , goes back to issue #7 for a 7-page sword fight between Red Sonja and Conan the Barbarian, and that finally concludes in . Red Sonja then received her own self-titled series in January 1977. This brief series was the first such for Red Sonja in her own solo adventures, and where her bikini-like costume of scale-mail, originally conceived by Esteban Maroto became permanently associated with her character.

is a comic book created by writer Alan Moore (of fame) and artist Chris Sprouse published bi-monthly by America's Best Comics, an imprint of DC Comics' Wildstorm division. The series ran for 36 issues, starting from April 7, 1999 to March 8, 2006. The title character Tom Strong is a "science hero", a term coined by Alan Moore to describe basically a superhero that has a science fiction explanation for his/her powers, and also as a nod to the classic pulp heroes of old, from which the series mainly draws inspiration.

is a 2007 re-release of , originally called the , a series of comic books narrating the concept behind the lyrics of the Coheed and Cambria album of the same name and published by Evil Ink Comics. The storyline used in The Amory Wars is also the focus of the band's music, each album released by the band representing a corresponding chapter in the four part science fiction concept originally narrated by Sanchez's lyrics. The new comics release are written by Claudio Sanchez, illustrated by Gus Vasquez (Volume1:issues 1 & 2), Mike S. Miller (Volume 1:issues 3-5), and Gabriel Guzman (volume 2) and published by Image Comics. The first two issues of the new series are almost exactly the same as the originals, although with new art work, the third issue continues the story from where the old comics finished.
