To follow up their 1988 classic Surfer Rosa, the Pixies brought Gil Norton (Echo & The Bunnymen, Patty Smith, Foo Fighters) on board to produce. The result, 1989's Doolittle (only their second full LP and major-label debut) was an equally brilliant if not superior release to its predecessor. A full-on sensory audio roller coaster, these forty minutes are both a benchmark and timeless monument, mixing surf-pop, alternative and grunge with schizophrenic pacing and lulls-to-head banging jolts.

The two CDs are presented in brand new seven-inch deluxe gatefold packaging, with an 8-page booklet.

The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The original line-up comprised Black Francis (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Joey Santiago (lead guitar), Kim Deal (bass, backing vocals) and David Lovering (drums). The band disbanded acrimoniously in 1993, but reunited in 2004. This live album, recorded on June 26, 1991 at Brixton Academy, London UK, long time circulated as bootleg, have been officially released on Blu-Ray as part of "Minotaur" box set.

The Pixies are associated with the 1990s alternative rock boom, and draw on elements including punk rock and surf rock. Their music is known for its dynamic "loud-quiet" shifts and song structures.
