With a sound pulled straight from the glory days of Album Oriented Rock of the mid-seventies, Hannah Wicklund & the Steppin Stones are the latest entry into the throwback trend spearheaded by bands like Greta Van Fleet and The Record Company. Wicklund, a 20-year-old Hilton Head, South Carolina native is set to release her self-titled album on her own Strawberry Moon imprint on Friday, January 26, 2018, and it could not come a day sooner.

Born and raised in Scotland and now residing in Brooklyn, New York, Hannah Read is a versatile multi-instrumentalist widely recognized on the International stage. She’s best known for her fiddle playing, songwriting and composing and was recently described as one of "the finest singers of the day" in the UK’s MOJO Magazine. Hannah leads her own band and is an in-demand collaborator on both sides of the Atlantic - most notably as part of the critically acclaimed British folk super-group ‘Songs of Separation’, winners of ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

A Woody Allen Manhattan mosaic, Hannah and Her Sisters concerns the lives, loves, and infidelities among a tightly-knit artistic clan. Hannah (Mia Farrow) regularly meets with her sisters Holly (Dianne Wiest) and Lee (Barbara Hershey) to discuss the week's events. It's what they don't always tell each other that forms the film's various subplots. Hannah is married to accountant and financial planner Elliot (Michael Caine), who carries a torch for Lee, who in turn lives with pompous Soho artist Frederick (Max Von Sydow). Meanwhile, Holly, a neurotic actress and eternal loser in love, dates TV producer Mickey (Allen), who used to be married to Hannah and spends most of the film convinced that he's about to die. Appearing in supporting parts are Lloyd Nolan and Maureen O'Sullivan (Farrow's real mom), as the eternally bickering husband-and-wife acting team who are the parents of Hannah and her sisters. The film begins and ends during the family's traditional Thanksgiving dinner, filmed in Farrow's actual New York apartment. Hannah and Her Sisters collected Oscars for Michael Caine, Dianne Wiest, and Woody Allen's screenplay.

Holy Hannah's self-titled rock & roll debut is a selection of visceral songs born from personal catharsis, exploring the rawness of existential quandary, epiphany, desire and heartbreak. Its as provocative as it is introspective, triumphant as it is vulnerable; a dynamic testament of human nature. In Jan 2018, Minneapolis-native Hannah von der Hoff recorded 14 original songs live to tape with her trio at Brown Bag Studios in South Minneapolis. After test driving the studio with her first single, ‘Time Machine’, she knew the space had just the vibe and analog gear she dreamed of to record her debut album.

Hannah has been travelling and touring Europe for the past two years and those who have accompanied her sure have experienced more than a few adventures. Every single one of her more than 90 concerts and festivals has its unique and special moments and stories. With her violin, her looppedal and her voice, Hannah has the ability to get lost in her own worlds without ever leaving her audience behind.
