The three-singers-concept had turned out to be a successful experiment, so Nik decided to record the follow-up with three singers as well. Edman and Vikström returned for the recordings, and new Brazen Abbot member Joe Lynn Turner (ex-Rainbow, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, solo) filled the third vocalist spot. Former Europe member John Levén took over the bass duties as Svante Henryson was unable to record the album due to schedulig conflicts. Haugland and Michaeli completed the backing band for "Eye of the Storm", which was released in 1996.

"Through The Storm" is a new 6 track EP from the melodic metal band Signum Regis. The new Signum Regis vocalist Mayo Petranin handles all the vocals on this recording, compared to their latest concept album 'Exodus' that involved many different vocalists. There are four new tracks on the EP, as well as a re-recorded version of 'All Over The World' from their debut album, and a cover version of the Yngwie Malmsteen classic 'Vengeance/Liar'.

The second longplayer by Wucan. With "Reap The Storm" Front woman Francis Tobolsky and their men stay true to the Wucan sound and have even refined and intensified it: powerful intelligent rock sprinkled with folkloristic elements. The band celebrates their brew from different styles and cites from many common genres - from psychedelic rock, blues and acid folk up to classic and heavy rock of the 1970's as well as from the insatiable krautrock and experimental phase of German bands during that time. With their debut "Sow The Wind" having been released in autumn 2015, Wucan has easily passed the magic threshold from an inside tip to an acclaimed newcomer. Two years, several tours and many festivals later, the band has established itself as a constant in the rock business…

ZZ Ward didn t have to look far for inspiration on her second full-length album, 2017 s The Storm. Equally evocative of blues grit and hip-hop bounce, the Los Angeles-based vocal powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist leapt forward by taking a deeper look at some of her earliest inspirations including Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson, and Vera Ward Hall and Big Mama Thornton.

Vocalist Barb Jungr pulls off quite a coup on her ninth album for Linn, securing the services of Kurt Elling's erstwhile pianist and arranger, Laurence Hobgood. Subtitled Songs Of Hope For Troubled Times, Jungr captures the longing at the heart of album opener 'Bali Hai' to moving effect. Especially noted for her interpretations of Dylan and Cohen, it comes as no surprise that 'Shelter From The Storm' and 'Sisters of Mercy' are both standouts.

Calm Before the Storm is the fifth album by Venom. The original title of the album would have been Deadline, but the title was changed when guitarist Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn left the band and was replaced by Jimi Clare and Mike Hickey. The main difference isn't so much in the sound – which is as crude as ever – as in the subject matter; the Satanic posturing has been greatly toned down in favor of general swords-and-sorcery and rock & roll themes. As such, it's not quite as over the top as early period Venom – one of the band's most important qualities – but it's worth checking out by more devoted fans.

"Through the Storm" is the thirty-fifth studio album by American singer Aretha Franklin, released on Arista Records in the spring of 1989. Despite the #16 Billboard Hot 100 hit title track (a duet with Elton John), the album was not a commercial success; it reached #55 on the Billboard 200. The follow-up single, "It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be", a duet with Whitney Houston, failed to make the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #41. Other guest artists included James Brown, The Four Tops and Kenny G.

"The performances featured on this compilation celebrate Jimi Hendrix's unique spirit and remarkable catalog in a symphonic context," writes annotator John McDermott of an album "featuring Sting, Carlos Santana, Brian Hay, John McLaughlin, Taj Mahal, Eric Schenkman, Steve Lukather, Paul Rodgers, Buddy Miles, Bootsy Collins, Tony Williams, Stanley Clarke, Robben Ford, Sass Jordan, Cozy Powell, Corey Glover, Hiram Bullock, Toots Thielemans, Bernie Worrell, Doug Pinnick, Dave Abbruzzese, Billy Cox, Noel Redding, and Steve Vai with the London Metropolitan Orchestra." The real force behind this Hendrix tribute album is producer/engineer Eddie Kramer, who engineered Hendrix's original albums. Unlike other tribute albums, in which a group of cover songs are collected from established artists, In from the Storm features performances by one-time ensembles put together specially by Kramer, usually featuring the London Metropolitan Orchestra.
