Michael Compitello's Unsnared Drum reframes how people think about, perform, and practice the snare drum, freeing the drum from its historical and idiomatic chains. It asks whether the snare drum can be bold, coy, suave, and elegant: in short, interesting. The album features works written in close collaboration with Compitello by Nina C. Young, Hannah Lash, Amy Beth Kirsten, and Tonia Ko; surprising and inventive new works for solo snare drum. The result is a collection of pieces which highlight the snare drum’s breadth of sonic possibility and depth of expressivity, revealing an instrument of drama, grace, and heart.

So much of new differently arranged and so-called "collector's" compositions have been located at the Eastgate Studios within the last couple of months, so that the decision for the SEVENTH and LAST double CD out of the Booster series was made very easily. The Booster CD's have been a kind of a corner stone within the TD community building some guidelines for those newbies who needed some help where to start discovering the various landmarks of TD's work. Quite a reasonable number of newer compositions have also found their way into the public. But we do not want the Boosters become a racehorse within a series of titles all running against each other. Therefore decision has been made to stop with a last product which simultaneously has some of the best and rare TD compositions from all decades to offer - of course subjectively speaking. Relax, sit back and enjoy a little trip with the TD time machine through a well-known and sometimes strange musical territory.

From the orchestrated introduction of "New America" to the closing ballad, "Born to Love You," Flim & the BB's showcase their impeccable chops. Of course, great musicianship does not necessarily result in great, or even good, music; but Big Notes is overflowing with good music and immaculate production. "Boogie Palace" and "Atosha" are highlights among the 11 tracks. A sense of humor also helps to make this package a big noteworthy success.

"That'll Flat… Git It!" is one of the best compilations of the 1950's rockabilly. Each volume contains nearly 30 songs, mostly rockabilly classics and unknown great artists. In spite the tracks were remastered, you can hear some noise, especially in the end of the tracks. This is because many songs were taken from original vinyl singles.
