Nazis occupy a Norwegian fishing village, and inconvenience turns to rage as the invaders steal everything of value, change the school curriculum, and impose harsh penalties for small infractions. Widower Eric Toresen (Paul Muni) leads a group of resistance fighters, but good men like young Gunnar Korstad (Richard Derr) are executed. Avoiding a trap set by a quisling innkeeper, several patriots escape to England. Eric guides a Commando raid to wipe out a Nazi airfield being built near his town. He also hopes to recover his daughter Solveig (Ann Carter), who had to be left behind.

Anna Lapwood is a trailblazing musician. Alongside her work as a conductor, Director of Music and pub- lic speaker, she performs an extensive number of organ recitals on some of the greatest instruments across Europe each season. Directed by Anna Lapwood, The Chapel Choir of Pembroke College has one of the most exciting and varied ranges of choral endeavors among Oxbridge choirs. Alongside their primary responsibility of contributing to worship in the College’s Chapel, they engage in regular artistic collaborations, media appearances and outreach work. The Pembroke College Girls’ Choir was founded in October 2018 and has quickly gained a reputation as one of the UK’s leading girls’ choirs. Made up of 18 girls aged 11–18, the Choir sings twice a week in the College Chapel, as well as regularly singing alongside the Chapel Choir.

Inspired by his Highland heritage, the young tenor Glen Cunningham presents a personal and heartfelt journey through music connected to Scotland, both native and international, old and new. The focus of the new is a commission by fellow Highlander Stuart MacRae, setting five poems of Robert Louis Stevenson.At the album’s core, meanwhile, are Schumann’s settings of Robert Burns, showcasing the poet’s influence on the world of lieder, alongside arrangements of Burns’ songs by Scottish composers. Joined by pianist, friend and regular duo partner Anna Tilbrook, Cunningham offers a rich, evocative programme that reflects his deep connection to the landscapes and stories of his homeland.
