Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes have been recording albums since 1976 and are closely associated with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. They have recorded or performed several Springsteen songs, including „The Fever“ and „Fade Away“. Springsteen has also performed with the band on numerous occasions and in 1991 guested on their Better Days album. More than one hundred musicians can claim to have been members of the Asbury Jukes, including Jon Bon Jovi who toured with the band as a special guest during 1990 and also cited the band as an influence. This album features a 1978 concert at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey featuring Steven Van Zandt on guitar.

Johannes Ockeghem is one of the most famous composers of the renaissance and belongs to the most prominent representatives of the Franco-Flemish school. Despite his high reputation during his lifetime we know very little about him. Even the exact year of his birth is still not established. He was at the service of Charles, Duke of Bourbon, and later he became a member of the French royal chapel. His fame is documented by the various laments in both text and music which were written on his death in 1497. As one of the very few composers from the Franco-Flemish school he has never worked in Italy, and this has consequences for the performance practice.

Blackie and the Rodeo Kings have announced their 11th studio album, O Glory, is due to arrive on July 8 through Warner Music.The band are previewing the Colin Linden-produced effort — billed as their most "spiritual and political" musical offering to date — with lead single "O Glory Lost Those Blues Again," which arrives alongside a lyric video to annotate Tom Wilson and Linden's shared vocals.Stephen Fearing said of recording the album remotely during the pandemic:
Like a lot of musicians, after the initial shock of the pandemic lockdown, the impetus became finding ways to connect with the world. Technology has come so far in the last few years, and it has made remote recording possible. I pounced on it. Colin gave me a lot of advice and took charge musically. It was then a matter of coming up with songs and getting them to each other.In addition to their new music, the band have also mapped out a few dates on their 2022 Canadian tour, with stops lined up in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC throughout October, November and December.

But damn the torpedoes, Too Much is Not Enough is a completely different approach to Jimmy Reed. The common thread between the two releases is the incredible talent featured on the tracks. The players are so good that the music speaks for itself. The most important reason to release these songs: they are the last recordings I did with my good friend, Gary Primich. I had planned to do a Jimmy Reed tribute for more than 20 years. My original idea was to release an Omar and the Howlers record which featured guest artists playing on some of the tracks. It's raging right now, as I'm just exploring what is beyond this," he said in a May 2022 interview, around the time he announced his adoption of masculine pronouns. "A way to express it could be switching between they and she. I kind of want to tear down that system that made us label genders in such a strict way … I think the answer is to be flickery, fluid, escaping."

Dave Stewart's second album with the Spiritual Cowboys expanded the musical ideas of their debut, although it was slightly less focused and pop-oriented than its predecessor. Dave Stewart and The Spiritual Cowboys was an English band, formed in 1990 after frontman David A. Stewart's departure from Eurythmics. Chris Bostock from JoBoxers, Jonathan Perkins, Olle Romo and Nan Vernon were later joined by Martin Chambers from The Pretenders and John Turnbull from Ian Dury and The Blockheads. They made two albums: the self titled Dave Stewart and the Spiritual Cowboys and Honest. Their live stage act is characterized by spiritual icons and a unique double drum kit played by two drummers.
